Transcript for "Campfire Product Demo 8/5":
Hey, everyone. Alright. Appreciate everyone hopping on and and joining us today on this Wednesday. We are really excited to talk about the Campfire platform. My name is Hank. I lead the customer solution team over at over here at Campfire. Been at Campfire since Campfire was just a, you know, one room office in Downtown San Francisco. We've grown a lot since then. We're a team of, 150, almost 200 people by the end of this year, And we've, really grown the Campfire platform to be a fantastic ERP in finance system for all sorts of customers that are looking to automate or really power a lot of their day to day actions, through AI tooling. So with that, I'm going to give it a minute, I think, just for everyone to hop on, and then we'll show a couple slides, and then we'll start with the overall product demonstration for Campfire. You'll see in the chat as well that, Lauren, posted something. She's, gonna be the background for this. But, if there's any questions that you have or anything that you see or any comments or concerns, feel free to put them in the chat, put them in the q and a. We will actually be going through a lot of these live on the call today. So answering questions you might have, talking about the Campfire platform. So feel free to just put them in the q and a, put them in the chat, and, we'll be able to, get through and answer all of those today. So with that, I'm going to pull up my screen for a couple slides, and, we can start with the, overall presentation. So just going to, put this on here. And I will pull up my screen. And awesome. Alright. So Campfire. Campfire is an AI native for high growth companies, looking to scale their businesses on an AI native platform. Campfire customers close faster. They can transact across a 180 currencies, and then, of course, be able to consolidate across different entities as well. We really built Campfire because what we saw within the market for QuickBooks and Xero and NetSuite and Sage is that, with QuickBooks and Xero, you know, there's limited permissions and the controls. They're difficult to customize. They're not multi entity. They don't have consolidations, kind of manual accounting tasks, and they really don't scale well with large transaction volumes. And then, of course, with NetSuite and Sage, even though you pay more, you still oftentimes struggle with multi unit consolidations. They're difficult to customize, lengthy implementations, and they still don't really scale with large transaction volumes. We've really built Campfire in a different methodology. We built Campfire one with kind of modern architecture systems, which means you can push in larger transaction volumes into Campfire. But we've really kind of impressed upon the user interface, a just much more approachable system that's much more easy to use out of the box, Consolidations and multicurrency, all of the different subledgers kind of all come out of the box within Campfire, and they're ready to go, and you can get implemented a lot faster. We now have a process where if you'd like, we can actually, if you're on QuickBooks today, even migrate all of your QuickBooks data into Campfire in typically forty eight hours. So if you do sign good Campfire, you can oftentimes start accessing the Campfire platform, which is within a couple days. And, of course, the implementation process will typically take, you know, a month or two just to really iron out what you're looking for in your next ERP system. But the data migration, we have really automated for Campfire to really accelerate the implementation, and we pass a lot of those cost savings down to you, in terms of much more affordable and cheaper implementation costs within Campfire. We also build Campfire just because, you know, every part of part of the CFO stack has been reinvented in just the last couple of years. You have Brex, you have Ramp, you have Rippling, Stripe, Snowflake, all sorts of tools, all of them in the CFO stack have been kind of reinvented, except the ERP, QuickBooks, Sage, and NetSuite are from '98, '99, which means they haven't really touched in almost thirty years, and that's why we really kind of built the platform. And the last slide I'll show is like, what is the Campfire platform? So we've really simplified kind of our product offerings in a sense that historically, when you bought ERP, you had to buy the GL, and then you had to buy multi entity or multicurrency, you had to buy a separate close management tool, you had to buy a separate prepaid or fixed asset module as well. You had to buy all these modules together and implement them one at a time and, of course, link your implementations, but it also means that pricing can go out of control. Leases, accruals, revenue recognition, invoicing, dunning, KPIs, everything like that, payments, are all separate historically. Camplank has really consolidated them down into the core GL accounting and the revenue automation. We have two products, and what that means is that if you need core accounting, you get one product, and it comes with everything out of the box, including everything they're releasing as well. We're even doing things like we're releasing a AP intake funnel, in the next couple weeks where Campfire will automatically scan all the PDFs and convert them into vendor bills for you. When we release that feature, there's no cost if you have core counting. It just comes out of the box, which means that we've really simplified the kind of positioning structure and pricing of Campfire. We only have two products, and, of course, we have Embra dot ai as well, which is your accounting assistant built into the platform. We're really excited to show you what that looks like. So with that, we'd love to just hop inside the Campfire platform here, and we can start with the overall product demonstration. So, again, just kind of if there's any kind of notes or or q and a or, like, anything like that, feel free to put them in the chat, and we're happy to kind of answer them throughout the presentation today. This is the front page of the Campfire tool. This is what you'll see when you log in for the first time, a couple KPIs and dashboards about things like your cash position, overdue AR, approvals, burn rate, revenue, everything like that within the system. We, of course, on the sidebar over here in the left hand sidebar kind of have the navigational screen. This is where you can switch from the home page, like your income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, your kind of classic financial statement and accounting reports, and, of course, budget versus actuals, consolidations. On the accounting side, this way you have all the accounting entries. So these are gonna be your journal entries, intercompany journal entries, invoices, bills, APRAR subledgers, amortizations, fixed assets, leases, the GL, cash management side. We have integrations with tons and tons of banks. We have a closed management tool and bank reconciliations, flux analysis, everything like that. So the sidebar is where you navigate to all the different kind of tasks and options within Campfire. But we'll start with just kind of a simple report, like an income statement within the Campfire tool. So this, of course, is an income statement within Campfire. You have, you know, the revenue accounts. You have COGS underneath it, OPEX under that. The number one reason why customers will move on to Campfire is that they need some sort of multi entity complexity. So they typically have, like, three entities. They're on QuickBooks today. It's hard to consolidate, and they need a system to be able to just have all the consolidations in a single system. They don't wanna be doing Excel consolidations and eliminations in Excel anymore. Campfire natively can handle as many entities as you need to. Right now, our biggest customer is actually 300 entities on the Campfire platform, multiple kind of roll ups and everything like that. And Campfire, very easy to report across different subsidiaries. So I go to the group by, and then I can see my income statement broken out by subsidiary one, subsidiary two, the parent company, and consolidated total, and, of course, the intercompany transactions and their eliminations as well. So we have all of the kind of breakouts between all the different subsidiaries here, and we can drill into any of this information as well. So if I drilled into sub two UK's transactions, I just click on this number, I can go into the underlying GL detail and just in a couple seconds go all the way down to the individual journal entries within Campfire as well. So this is a journal entry in the Campfire tool that we drill down for. And, you can see kind of like journal entry dates. This one's actually interesting. This is an interesting journal entry because, this journal entry is multi currency, so we're multi entity, but we're multi currency as well. So this is a multi currency journal entry because the transacting currency is in GBP, it's in the pound, But subsidiary two actually reports in euro, and then it consolidates back in dollar. Campfire natively supports multicurrency, about a 180 currencies today. And then, of course, we have all of the FX rates that are fed in on a daily basis into Campfire. We have all the FX rates that are fed in on a daily basis into Campfire, and if we hit show book values here, this is how we're able to see actually all three currencies displayed on a transaction. We have the, book currency, so that's what the transaction is in GBP here. And then we'll reevaluate actually, sorry. This is the book currency. We'll reevaluate the book currency, which is the functional currency for the entity and the consulting currency as well. So we'll handle all of the FX transactions within Campfire, reevaluations of monetary balance sheet accounts, translation adjustments, everything like that within the Campfire platform. We handle all of the multi entity and multi currency within the system. So, again, multi currency, multi entity like you see on here. And then one of the last things customers really like about Campfire too is we have unlimited custom dimensions. Unlimited custom dimensions means you have the ability to track maybe your different departments or your different classes or your different projects or your different, like, portfolios. Any dimension that you have within the platform, you'll be able to track within Campfire to be able to see, if there's, like, any specific, any specific, like, dimensions or location or class or anything like that. So if I switch to project here, now I can see, all of my p and l's or reports by individual project two. So you have, like, project a, the Kenya project, project, a one a, one b. You can drill to the any of these numbers as well. You've unlimited custom dimensionality within Campfire. So unlimited custom dimensionality, has the ability to track, all of the sorts of of different dimensions that you have made within the Campfire platform. So you have the income statement broken out there, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, and you have custom reports as well. So you have these kind of reports that come out of the box, but then you have custom reports too. A custom report is like, you know, if I build, like, a custom EBITDA statement. Right? If I have, like, a custom EBITDA income statement over here. This example of a custom report within Campfire. And the reason it's a custom report is that we have, like, our normal income statement here, except this is if you wanna build more of, like, customized income statement, that doesn't affect your core income statement here. We talk to, like, kinda CFOs sometimes, and they'll ask us things like, hey. Income statement looks great, but I wanna generate, like, an EBITDA report, and I wanna get rid of, like, depreciation and amortization. How do I do that with Campfire? And for Campfire, all we need to do is you go to the line items here. You got all the GL accounts, and let's say you wanna get rid of depreciation expense over here. You wanna get that rid of that for net income, you just drag and drop this out into the move rows on the right hand side, and OPEX, net income, everything like that, it's gonna recalculate without not just depreciation expense, but these other GL accounts inside of it as well. So it's really just drag and drop within Campfire. Let's say I wanna move legal expense into COGS. I can just drag and drop it into cost of goods sold, and now cost of goods sold is gonna recalculate with that extra, GL account inside of it. Or if I wanna put legal expense, I'm gonna go crazy. Put legal expense in revenue. I could do that as well. It's just drag and drop within Campfire. And and that's kind of the approach we take with all sorts of customer reporting within the tool, which is we wanna have the depth and power of customer reporting within Campfire, but have the approachable user interface to be able to manage, all sorts of kind of reporting in Campfire by just dragging and dropping everything. We can do custom groups or custom formula rows as well, but very easy just to create custom reports in Campfire. And, of course, they'll never kind of override what's in your core income statement or your core balance sheet. You can create unlimited amounts of these, break them up by accounts or departments or locations. Really powerful customer porting in Campfire, that you have within the platform. And then one last thing is that if there's a port that you can't build out of the box, we have EmberAI. EmberAI is our AI tool that is basically used to help manage all of the accounting within Campfire. So if there's a report you can't build, you can just ask Ember like, hey, Ember. Can you build a report that shows the trends in revenue, expenses, COGS, OPEX on a month over month basis for q two twenty twenty six in table and visual format? So you can ask it a question, and what Amber is gonna do is it's the tool we built with inside of Campfire to be able to automate, the generation reports or, like, accounting automations. So this is gonna pull a report that pulls the income statement data, pulls the balance sheet data, pulls all the adjusted figures and visuals and everything like that, and then basically builds, like, a custom report for you. It's gonna build it in table format and then visual format as well. So I'll let this one run a bit. What it's gonna do is it's gonna pull open, like, the kind of exact key figures that needs to have and then build the charts and tables for you to build into these amounts. While this runs, I think it's a question in the q and a. We just asked, actually, do we support, like, non Gregorian ledgers and specifically for calendars, like four five four? We don't today. We just what we do today is that a lot of our customers will actually use the mberryi tool to build custom reports based off of aggregating it by days. Because what we can do in Campfire is we can target specific days within Campfire. So you could have your January or, like, January be January 1 through, like, '28, for example. You could have reports be based off of that, but we don't natively have four five four today. It is on the road map for us to build. But right now, what Campfire customers are doing is they're using customer reports to be able to manage the close processes, and then, of course, reporting within Campfire based off of their specific days they wanna be able to track. So it's one thing that's on our road map, but we don't have it today, unfortunately. So there is a kind of financial trends report, over here where it has, like, the month over month, like, revenue, adjusted COGS versus profit. There's some visuals you can download as well, kind of adjusted COGS versus net income, visual reports, key takeaways, everything like that. But just kind of a very simple prompt, Ember is able to generate these reports that you have in the Campfire system and then have all of the kind of visuals, the charts within Campfire. We even generate the Excel reports as well. So if you wanna see it in Excel format, we do so too. So you have all of the files that Ember generates as well. It can generate Word docs. It can generate Excel files. It can generate PowerPoint decks as well. So any sort of custom report or just like, what were the top five biggest customers, net month over month that signed, you know, in the last month? Campfire can just give you any answer by asking directly within a ledger, and it pulls information directly for you. There's also as well, within Campfire, there's also the ability to have it do accounting automations too. So an accounting automation would be something like if we asked Amber, hey. Every month, we get vendor bills, in Campfire, from our vendor, let's say, Figma. Can you allocate these vendor bills by departments, by headcounts for the month of, let's say, April 2026 and show your work. So Amber has the ability to also automate accounting tasks as well. And accounting task automation would be something like, again, like an allocation. But if you think of things like accruals, if you think of things like things like reconciliations, Ember can also accomplish those as well. So what Ember's gonna do here is it's gonna find all of the vendor bills, and it's gonna go find the headcount by department, and it's gonna start breaking out the ratios between all those departments, show what the allocation should be based off those vendor bills, and then actually generate, like, the journal entry off of that as well. So this is a, Figma bill. Figma is a vendor that we have in the system. It's the source bill here. It's a bill date. It's the dollar amount. It's software expense. It found the bill here, and it also found the head count and the allocation and the head count allocation by the different departments we have here as well. So it finds all the information inside of Campfire, and then it then generates, not only what the allocation should be. It shows you the math and the calculation, but it also generates the journal entry in Campfire as well. So here is the journal entry in the Campfire tool that it recommended we generate plus the Excel CSV support. I'll go back to this journal entry here. This is the journal entry that it found, or prepared for us. So what Campfire and Ember are able to do is you give it tasks, like make an allocation or make an accrual, and Ember can then go ahead and prepare what that journal entry should look like. And then, of course, if you hit create journal entry here, we are very adamant that Ember doesn't automatically create and post journal entries inside of Campfire. What you can do within Campfire is Ember can suggest what those journal entries are, and it can suggest those JEs, and then, of course, prepare them for you. And then the user just approves the journal entry and hit save transaction at the bottom. But you can see it do a little math for us. It hit the departments. It hit the date correctly. Hit the memo. I'm gonna hit save transaction here, and it posts the transaction. And I can view the journal entry to Ember AI. I created the source as Ember, but it still has the full audit log that says even though Ember suggested the journal entry, Hank, myself, I'm the one that approved the journal entry as well, the specific date. Has all the line items, and then it even has a link back into the AmberChat. So for any auditors or any approvers or anyone like that, if they see this journal entry, this shows up in an audit, selection. What the auditor can do is the auditor can actually click back to view an AmberChat. It goes back in the Amber chat instance. It'll see the prompt, what was all, like, the calculations that were performed by the system to calculate the allocation. You can see the headcount, the allocation. You can see all of the support that Amber generated. You can link back into the journal entry. So we save all that information for you on every type of entry invoice that Amber generates. So Amber, just kind of a simple click, can generate, any sort of kind of, you know, journal entry departments or anything like that and allocations. And there's actually another good question in the chat, as well. So, you know, again, Embraer can generate all these entries and everything like that. There was a really good question within the chat as well, that said something like, can you create rules to make mandatory dimensions for specific entries on specific, like, records or anything like that? So departments mandatory P and L accounts, Regis, you can, and you can make them very customizable as well. So what you can do in the settings is you can go to the settings here, and we have these, like, validation rules in Campfire. And the validation rules can say something like, if a account is or let's say it's a, account subtype. Account is, let's say, like, a revenue account here or, like, a p and l account or anything like that, if it's a revenue account, then you can say something like, departments, is you know, has to be one of these departments or department is filled. So we can force any sort of dimensionality in Campfire. So you can force that, like, a specific entity is used. You can force that a specific currency is used. You can force any sort of dimension within Campfire and enforce dimensionality, in a very granular way within the system. So we have, like, full capabilities, on that side too. So, really great question there. But, yeah, those are just some examples that Ember can do. Ember can obviously create journal entries. It can do calculations. It can create invoices. It can create vendor bills. Anything that you can do within Campfire from the user interface, Ember has the ability to do for you as well. So, just finishing off, you know, a couple last things that we have in Campfire as well is we also have our closed checklist. So if you use, like, a closed checklist today, if you use, like, a FloQast or BlackLine or numeric, we have our own closed checklist within Campfire where where you can actually set up, like, what are all of the, like, kind of steps we have in the close. So eliminating intercompany transactions, you can do revaluations of monetary balance sheet accounts, you can do revenue entries. And then for all of these, like depreciating fixed assets, leases, prepaids, everything like that, you can track, like, what is the action here, what is the entity as well. So you can see, like, kind of which entity you're operating this action in, who it's assigned to, completed by, reviewed by, a link to the journal entry, attachments, due dates, everything like that. You can track your close process within Campfire natively within the Campfire platform. So whether you wanna do the accounting and then also track the close process, we have a native close checklist in Campfire that executes out of the box. We're really obsessed about automating the close process within Campfire that not only we have the close checklist, we have accruals as well. So we have an accrual subledger where in Campfire, what we can do is we can manage all the accruals for you. So you have the description, you have the nature of the accrual, and we can suggest what the accrual should look like as well. So you have the estimation method for the accrual. You can have a look at other vendor bills, anything like that. You have the Campfire platform that can generate what the accrual recommendation should be. So whether it's, like, software accruals or legal service accruals, you have the full accrual subledger within Campfire. And then you also have the flux analysis too. The flux analysis is really great if you want Campfire to help generate, like, a variance or flux analysis. So if this is something you are doing on a month end basis, Campfire can also generate the flux analysis for you as well. And the flux analysis has, like, the variance threshold, the comparison periods, and then it's gonna read all of your transactions. So, like, for revenue, here's the difference between June and July, the difference percentage and the totals. And here's, like, the EmberAI explanation of, like, why, there was a difference specifically on the flux in Campfire, regarding, regarding, all the differences between all these values and everything like that. So we have full kind of dimensionality within Campfire when it comes to all the EmberAI explanations within the tooling. So we can generate the Flux explanations for you natively within Campfire. You can make edits or customizations to them as well. So yeah. No. Again, in summary, what Campfire really is is that we're a full GL platform. We have fixed assets. We have amortizations. We have the GL. We have reporting. We have revenue recognition, invoicing, dunning, cash management as well. We have tons of native integrations that come out of the box, and we have our EmberAI tool as well. Our EmberAI tool is, again, the one that you ask any questions, it can automate all of the kind of, transactions and automate all of the reporting within Campfire for you as well. Integrations all commatively within Campfire too. So we have integrations. These are API integrations that we built ourselves into tools like Ramp or tools like Topalti or bill.com. We have integrations into Stripe. We integrate to about 50,000 banks right now through our Plaid network. So we integrate to tools like, BOW, Cash Pro, Bank of America, Chase products, Wells Fargo, Plaid, native integrations to Salesforce and HubSpot. We have integrations to payroll tools as well. So if you wanna integrate, like, Rippling or ADP into Campfire, we have both those integrations today, tax tools like Avalara as well. We own all those integrations first party. There's no cost associated to setting up integrations into Campfire. So with that, I just wanna say, really appreciate everyone's time today hopping on the call today. After this call, someone will reach out from our team to see if you're interested in, like, a more detailed product demonstration of the Campfire platform. We're full, AI native platform, which means we have MBI tool. We also have full MCP as well. I think someone asked a question with the MCP too. So we have their full kind of access to the MCP within Campfire. There's no cost associated to the MCP. So we have the full Campfire MCP, between the Campfire tool and the system. But, again, just wanna say thank you so much. Someone after this call will reach out to, see if you'd like to see more personalized product demonstration of Campfire. And with that, just wanna say we'd love to see if we can partner with your business to help grow with your business on Campfire. So we really appreciate everyone's time. And, yeah, we'll see you next time. Hopefully, we can, we can partner together. So thanks, everyone.
