Transcript for "Campfire Product Demo 9/30":
Hello, everybody. Hey. Welcome to, our live campfire presentation. I'm gonna go ahead and, start sharing my screen here, and, we will get this going. So, yeah, I just wanna show this off real quick. Hey, everybody. I'm Brad Dillon. I'm a solutions consultant here at Campfire, and I'm here to tell you a little bit about who we are and what we do and then get into a live demonstration of the platform itself today. So we are the AI native ERP for modern finance, teams. Really, we have been designed from the ground up for the AI era. We're giving our customers, you know, five times faster close times than traditional ERPs. We're able to support over a 180 different currencies. We kind of act as a consolidation, tool that that replaces several tools at once. We are processing millions of transactions for our customers every month, and we're seeing massive savings from our customers, every month. We're working with major major names, such as Advisor three sixty, Replit, Decagon, and Posthog. We're also SOC two and SOC one, you know, certified as well. And then, you know, what actually is the Campfire platform? So, really, there's two modules. We have our core accounting, which is kind of your, you know, daily transactions, which includes your fixed assets, your, you know, payroll transactions, your AP transactions, etcetera. Then we also have our revenue automation section, which or module, which is our revenue, functionality. Spanning the entire Campfire platform, we have the embra.ai tool, which is our own proprietary agents that we have set up inside Campfire, that works on that that really is instead of talking to a generalist like a ChachiPT or a Claude, you can think of this like talking to a a CPA with decades of experience, when working on your accounting information. And then, you know, kind of playing with that, we do offer seamless integration with, over a huge variety of software tools across the ERP, system space. So, like, you you know, a AP dedicated tools such as, like, Ramp or bill.com, we have connections with those. Stripe, we have this robust connection with them. Big time connection with CRMs such as HubSpot, Salesforce. You know, we connect with Snowflake as well for handling your data lake inside of Campfire. Then and then we have, you know, connections with with payroll processors such as Rippling and ADP as well. And then kind of, you know, there's a lot of ERPs out there, but really, you know, why would you wanna go Campfire? So couple things that we really offer. We give you the ability to call the number before the close. We have a continuous forecast that is showing you where you're gonna land at the end of the month before the period is actually closed, which we've seen a lot of our customers get a lot of value out of because their FP and A teams have been able to see where they're going to land without having to go through the actual close just yet. We also have the ability to let a lot of agents that are built inside the system do the work for you. So for example, if you have certain processes or certain analyses that need to be run every day, every week, you can set up, Ember agents, Ember being our proprietary AI, tool, to run those tasks automatically at whatever cadence you desire. And then also, you know, where where it says account and say in command, the idea here really is is that we want to make sure that this system provides auditability, transparency, and control for our end users. We have set this up such that, you know, our users are able to pass, you know, audits. In general, we have publicly we have publicly traded customers that are using Campfire right now, and we've set it up such that, when our current customers want to go public, we are teed up to support them when that time comes. And then finally, you know, effortless switch. It's very easy to jump over from an existing ERP system to Campfire. We offer migration agents for NetSuite and QuickBooks data right now, making our, implementation and, you know, transfer over, pretty quick and easy. So, really, we offer a a fully AI native ERP system that is built for not just now, but for, you know, for your business as you continue to grow as well, including your your audit readiness, make sure that we get up and running really quickly. If you go international, we have the ability to handle multicurrency and multibook accounting. We do offer, our our customer support. We do really try to aim to, to not just please, but really, you know, succeed massively with that. We have, you know, Slack connections to most of our customers where they can just ask us questions on the spot pretty easily. And then fun finally for our AI itself, we offer a very high degree of of accuracy with this as well as a Python code trail that comes with everything that runs through Embraer AI. So you can see exactly what happened, under the hood instead of just, you know, leaving it to, oh, it might be, you know, guesswork or hallucinations. But we'll get into that when we start showing the platform, which I'm going to get into right now. So looking at the Campfire platform right here, you can see, this is our dashboard you see when you come into Campfire. I'm gonna dive right into our reporting real quick. We're getting income statement right here. We do our year to date. We do our quarterly. What this is showing by default is all the entities that are in this environment combined into one total right here. So it's all these entities shown right here. If you click into any of these, like this two forty for what for q one twenty twenty six, you can see the underlying transactions that constitute that amount. You come here. We have our credit amount. It's all these credits. Roll up to be that value right there, the $2.40. If we filter for just one entity, so for example, we look at, like, UK, we'll see it shown in the parent, parent company currency, which is US dollars. If we click into one of these, like, one thirty one right here, you see the transactions that make that up, which is just one transaction, 131. You can also see on here, if you wanna see the book currency for the entity in question, in this case, we're using euros to The UK because it's handling all of Europe. We've set that up like that in our demo environment. We see this shown in euros now. If we click into one of these, the one ten, we can see this in, in euros if we go to book currency right here. And we're getting our exchange rates from a API connection to the European Central Bank as well. One more thing to call on the income statement is that you have the ability to see, a breakout by entities. We'll do UK and California. If you wanna see these broken out by entities here, go to columns, go to entity right here. Now you see California, The UK, and your total. We also have the ability to have this broken out, have our information broken out on the income statement by custom tags. So I'm gonna go to project right here. These are just tags that we've set up, inside this Campfire environment. So we have, like, one a that rolls up underneath Canyon development project. How this works, if we click on one seventy five right here, go to project, You'll see project one a right here. And this is just a custom tag, and this is a custom column that we set up for, in our environment. To see what I mean, we go to settings, then we go to tag groups right here. You'll see, like, product line, location, project. These are all columns that live on the transactions, and the values that can go into those columns live inside the tags section. Click on project. See one a, one b. These roll up under Kenya development project, which is why they appear like that on this report. Stepping out of income statement, I do wanna show how easy it is to build a custom report inside Campfire. I'm gonna make a custom version of our of our income statement here. Got a custom financial statement right here. We'll call this broadcast I slash s. Count. Do this quarterly. Next page. Entities. Next page. Save report. What I'm gonna be able to do from here is that I'm going to be able to, drag and drop these as as I would like. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna hit edit right here. And when I do that, you'll see that these now have a gray set of dots to the left of them, and I can drag and drop these as I see fit. So, for example, if I wanna remove engineering expense or IT expenses from this version of the income statement, I'll grab this and put it into removed rows. You'll notice that when I do this, the operating expense amount is going down, right away. We also have the ability to add custom groups on here. So do add custom group, add group, call this separated OPEX, create group. We can now see this down below right here, and we can drag and drop accounts into this as we see fit. So I'm gonna take meals, gonna take sales commission. I'm gonna put those into separated OPEX. You'll see this amount updates in real time. Finally on this, you do have the ability to drag and drop these new newly made categories into other existing categories, so putting separated OPEX back inside OPEX. When you're happy with this, you can save it, and then you'll be able to come back to it later from your reports page. Just type it in, and there it is, broadcast IS. One more thing I wanna call out. I mentioned earlier during the during the presentation, our forecasting tool. This is it right here. By default, you're seeing your actuals plus your committed. Your actuals is what has been posted to the GL already. It's what these black numbers are. When we move to committed, this is your actuals plus your committed. So we click on subscription revenue right here. This has what has been posted to the GL thus far plus what is going to be posted according to the revenue schedules, inside the contracts section of of of Campfire. To get an even better picture of what you're what what you can expect these values to land on, we're now gonna add in our estimates right here. So click on estimates. This is our Ember generated estimates, for each of these accounts for each of these months. To see how what it got here, we can click on this one eighty. We can go to adjust right here, and this is gonna show what methodology was used to get that, estimation. So trailing average, we let Amber Amber choose here. It shows trailing average in this case. We also have the ability to add notes that we wanted to consider when running this, which is shown right here, as well as upload files. If there's something like, for example, if you have an estimation document document of where what's your revenue is going to be for this month, you could upload that file here and have that included in the estimation or even have a connection to an external software system via MCP to consider info there. So for example, for revenue estimation, you would connect to HubSpot and let Amber redo that as well. Speaking of Amber, we come down here to our designated chat tool right here. This is where Amber, is located. I'm gonna show a quick, you know, query here. We'll say, hey. Give me a list of the top five biggest vendors by spend for q one mid one six. When I when I kick this off, what's happening is actually it is generating Python code on the back end. And, really, the whole point of this is is that our system is deterministic. So, you know, the query that you run now, when you run it again, it'll be using that same, approach, that same code. And provided that the underlying data is the same, you should get the same outcome. Not only that, but also, you know, this Python code that I keep talking about, why this matters is that when audit time comes, the auditors will be able to come back to whatever reports, so example, like a CSV or or deck you generated inside of Ember or journal entry that was posted from Ember. And c, click on paper trail, click on steps. They'll be able to see the Python code that was generated and then executed to get that get that output. And really why this matters is that this makes it such that our, Ember calculations are transparent and auditable and thus reliable. Some of the things caught on this is that you can attach files right here. So you've got a template, like an Excel file or Excel file or, like, a blank board deck you wanna upload here and then have it consider that when running. You can upload that here. Alternatively, you can upload files into the file section under settings. So it has so Embro will have access to all of those whenever you need it. One more thing I wanna call out inside of Embro is our agents functionality, which is what I mentioned earlier. The system comes with several, agents that are included with Campfire, such as your continuous close, AR matching, AP matching, and invoice recovery agents. We also have the ability to build custom agents like this 100 custom agents we have right here. There's a 100 of them shown, these purple ones. Those can be built, through the chat functionality. You just say, hey hey, Amber. Give me a a an agent that won't give me x y z report and deliver it to me on x y z cadence. So, for example, in customer reports, one that I was at call out is our five day rolling treasury cash forecast agent somebody built. Click on this. What this is doing is this is running every weekday, and it's building a five day rolling cash forecast for the SVB operating checking account. And, really, what it's doing is that if we go to runs, click on this where it's been run today, three hours ago, it's looking at this, and it's giving us, suggestions for where we need to transfer this cash balance to optimize our treasury returns. The whole idea here is that what used to be a manual check that an accountant would have to do regularly, our agents can now do this, every single day of the week. Sky's the limit pretty much on what you will can build on the agents. You can even have them daisy chained together and talk to each other and, like, have agents invoke other agents if you would like. Just to show some of the ones that come out of the box, come in the system, I do wanna showcase our continuous close right here. What this is doing, this is running constantly, including about an hour ago. It's looking at our transactions, our uncategorized transactions, to see if there are any that have, trends that are recognizable by the system. So we got AI rule right here. This is an example. We hit review right here where the continuous close agent has recognized, hey. We have some uncategorized examples here. We've seen in the past where somebody on the accounting team has come in and moved this to another account or other, information, so changes other things about it such as the the description, the payee, etcetera. And it's suggesting a rule that says if all these are true, like keyword is five year contract, entity is x y z, bank account is yada yada, then we're going to update this information. We're gonna update the account to the deferred revenue, description, payee, etcetera. And if you're okay with that rule, you can hit save rule right here to have that take place going forward. You can also even apply it retroactively by hitting this toggle before hitting save. The end result is is that as time goes on, our continuous close agent is gonna make it easier, for the or it's gonna reduce the amount of transactions that are coming in from external systems that are marked as uncategorized. Stepping out of, agents, I do wanna show, a couple more things on on our on Embraer AI right here. We've got our settings right here. You have the ability to build out skills, which these are functionally agents that you would talk to inside the chat. So if you have, like, something that, like, hey. You need to specify a a date range or an entity in question, You would, set them up as a setting or setting up set them up as a skill instead of an agent. Those can be invoked if we go to embra.ai, go to chat, say run backslash, and then you can just run the skill from here. We also have the ability to connect to external systems using MCP connections. So if you want Ember to be able to read data inside of RAMP, Stripe, Avalara, CryptoWork, or even anything that has a an MCP server URL available, you can hook those up here. This will give Ember additional context when running its calculations that may not have been, passing to Campfire already via integrations. Speaking of integrations, I do wanna touch on our integrations right here. This is where our self serve integrations live, so like our connections like Ramp, Airwallex, Stripe, you know, banking via Plaid as well, your CRMs, your payroll systems, your your SSO, your tax right here. This is where you can not only set this up, but also the end users, like our customers, can use this to, you know, adjust this as needed going forward. So for example, if they wanna make tweaks to the HubSpot connection, click on this, click on this. They can adjust their field mappings here or their sync settings here. The point being that, these are what the ones that are self serve, but there are additional connections that we can offer, that we can set up on the back end, and we've and we've had experience, setting up, in the past. So this is a nonexhaustive list of what we could connect to. I mentioned earlier, our controls we have as well. It's one of the thing I wanna call out. We do have role based access controls. We gotta create custom role right here. You have the ability to set up very granular level controls for what people can and cannot access inside of Campfire. And these these permissions extend into Ember. So, for example, if you're an AP clerk, you're not gonna be able to go to Ember and ask, questions about revenue if you don't have access to that information. Speaking of revenue, I do wanna touch on our how our revenue system works. This is our overall revenue dashboard, which shows, like, total revenue, customers, net retention rate, couple of key metrics at the very top here. If we go to contracts, this is really what is underlying all of this. If we look at, for example, just this test contract right here, you'll see that we have in the header, it's contract information. And then down below, we have a revenue schedule, which really all this is is constituted of information given to the subscriptions, usage, and milestone sections, and then it is fed into the revenue. So in this example, we have a subscription that runs for three years for $60,000 per year for $60,000 in in total. Excuse me. And you'll see that every month for that three years, there is a, an amount to be recognized going, throughout that. To show what it looks like to have a contract coming in here, you can either upload this via CSV, you can pass it in via HubSpot or Salesforce integration, or you can create one from scratch. I'm gonna create this right here. We'll call this broadcast. Current company, customer. We'll do Adobe. Today, we have the ability to upload contracts via PDF and let it parse through that, but I'm gonna make this even simpler than that. Gonna make this one twenty just for demonstration purposes. Start table due today. End date will due a year today. Next, create contract. We now have a blank contract right here with nothing in the revenue schedule. To get that in the revenue schedule, we add we can add subscriptions, usage, and milestones. I'm gonna add a a quick subscription real fast to API access. That's fine. Have this be a $120,000 for generating schedule. That's great. Save subscription. We now have this right here in a revenue schedule. Now I'm gonna create invoices, for this. Just gonna go to invoices. I'm gonna hit schedule invoices right here. And this is gonna make me a monthly invoice for this entire revenue schedule. I'm also gonna include taxes on this. In this case, I'll have a manually selected, tax rate for San Francisco. Get auto send. We have the ability to have Stripe invoicing on this as well, so they can pay us via Stripe. Click next. It shows a preview of all the invoices we're gonna we're gonna make. I'm gonna hit create invoices, and this will this will generate 12 invoices that will, that'll be inside the Campfire system. It's also going to generate the the appropriate journal entries to match all of these and we'll also go through the revenue schedule and tie an invoice record to each each line of the revenue schedule. So we see, like, the 5580, 5581, etcetera. Inside the invoices, click on click on one of these. This is how the invoice record looks. We have our tax. We have our rates. We have our amount. We're gonna download a PDF of what it looks like when it goes to the end customer right here. And then, of course, this invoice is right here. We have this would not show Campfire in real life. This will show the customer's name, or the the the company using Campfire's name as well as their add their address. This information up top is fully customizable. So you wanted this include, like, purchase order number or account number, something like that. You can, you can have that information up here. You can also even edit this to to be, you know, whatever fields you would like. And then this is where the Stripe payment link would show up down below. To round this out, I know we're coming up on time here. I do wanna showcase how we have the ability to handle bills inside Campfire. So you can, connect an inbox or an email address to Campfire, and then as doc as emails hit that inbox, there's a PDF of a bill attached. They'll come into the inbox here as a drafted bill. Once it gets approved, it can go to, here, which is where our our, approved bills live. Click in one of these. You do have the ability to generate and then view amortizations from here. So in this case, we had software expenses that somebody had already created an amortization schedule for. Click on this. You'll see the amortization schedule right here with with with the amount of amortized every month down below. Similarly, we have the ability to handle fixed assets and depreciation inside of Campfire right here. So for each fixed asset, we do have a depreciation schedule available like this. We also have the ability to handle leases. So if you're paying a lease every month, you can track that inside of Campfire as well, both for operating and financing leases. It even shows the amounts to be amortized every month. And then finally, we have our period close checklist right here. What this shows, if we have September 2026, it's a list list of items to be done every month. You can assign these out to people, track who completed them, and see who reviewed this as well as the actual reserve resultant journal entry right here. And many of these items automatically generate a, journal entry draft based on information in your Campfire system. So for example, right here, if we do depreciate fixed assets, we hit run. This is going to draft a journal entry for depreciating fixed assets for September. When this is posted, we hit save transaction. This is going to not only, post the transaction, but it will also update your fixed asset records accordingly. These lists are fully customizable. So at the month by month level, you can add items to each of them, or you can add this link to the to the overall template if you want it to be done every month or every year to add our you know, every so often. Add item monthly, quarterly, annual right there. What I've seen a lot of our customers do, if we go to actions, add item, we've seen them add go to other type. We'll do Amber AI task. You can even add an Amber AI prompt on here. So if you want if you don't have an AI driven task that you want somebody to manually kick off and then look at, you can have that here. So for example, for this month, give me a list of the top five biggest payments we received. Just something as simple as that. Say task. Once you have that on there, come to the bottom. We should have this right here. You hit run to kick it off. We hit run. It's gonna run this. So, really, you can have, like, you know, allocation journal entries based on headcount. You can have, you know, spot checks for, you know, payments received or outlying invoices. Anything are there any invoices that were bigger than $10,000 or any bills that are bigger than $10,000? And have somebody on the team look at that. I do wanna save a little time here for q and a. So I I think it's, I think I see a couple of questions on here. I'm gonna go and kick this off here. Is there a version of Campfire that is more oriented towards my company size? That is something that we, at present, do not currently have. I like a like a smaller version of that. Let's see here. I wanna read this. Campfire software, your portal capabilities, quite a bit of online. Camera background 27. We work with plenty of startups. We definitely do. I think it's a matter of, like, how big is the business at present. Generally, we work with customers who, you know, have gotten, like, gotta be a little bit too big for for QuickBooks, but we have some people who have jumped straight over from QuickBooks to, to Campfire. So I I'd reach out and see if, you maybe schedule a call. We'd love to talk to you. Anyone else, wanna ask questions? I, time is yours. If there's nothing else, then I guess we can, you know, I can I go I can pause for a second while people are typing? I don't wanna don't wanna jump the gun here. Kevin, did did that answer your question, by the way? I don't really I don't wanna leave you hanging. Perfect. Yeah. Go ahead and reach out. We'd love to we'd love to talk to you and see what we can, you know, show. Perfect. Yep. Yeah. I was gonna say, please reach out to me at brad@campfire.ai. That's brad@campfire.a.ai. Alternatively, there is a book a demo button on the, on our website and on, I think, on this on this event as well. So we we'd be glad to talk to you. Matter of fact, Kevin, if that if that comes through, I'd I'd actually like to personally get on there because you were you you came to my show, so I gotta return the favor. Right? So thank you everybody for joining. I think we can go ahead and, oh, oh, Fernando has a question. Key differentiators from other AI native systems. So I'd say a couple of them. First of all, I would say, how strong our AI capabilities are. So we go down to embra.ai right here. We have the ability we were the first one to come out here and have a connection to MCP, a connection to other software systems via MCP, which makes you know, gives our our AI the ability to really, speak across different systems. Also, the paper trail and the auditability of everything that is done inside of, Ember. So we have a, you know, kind of a differential or excuse me. A deterministic, model here that is able to spit out a a, you know, Python code and a paper trail, connected with it to give that increased auditability. That also extends into our our our, our controls, like I showed earlier. Like, we have, like, our user level controls and, like, how much control we have over, Ember itself. So, really, I'd say the AI is a big differentiator, as well as the the the pace at which we are shipping product. So we really have been, you know there's a couple of other competitors we have that that have been around for a couple years longer than us. We have managed to catch up on functionality, and now we're looking to to head past them, if we can do as we continue to to maintain that pace of, shipping product. So indications and pricing, I personally am not, it it it's kind of a case by case basis. It'd be one of those things that, we'd love to, you know, talk to you and set up a demo and see where we, can can align with that depending on your your specific situation, Fernando. And then percentage of our customers that are non SaaS. I can't say there was a specific, percentage across the board, but I will say that in my personal experience, probably about 30% are non SaaS. So there is a healthy segment that is growing that is non SaaS. I personally have worked on, you know, beverage distribution companies. I have worked on, professional services firms. I've seen people work on, you know, kind of merchandise and online store, heavy companies before as well. So we really, you know, have kinda been expanding the scope. Most recently, I've also seen a lot of utilities companies, coming around here as well. So, yeah, Fernando, please, please reach out whenever you get a chance. We'd love to talk to you. With all that, I think I can go ahead and, end the session. But, again, you know, feel free to reach out anytime. I'm, brad@campfire.ai. Would be glad to talk to y'all, and, thank you for attending the the the presentation. Thank you.
