Transcript for "Campfire Product Demo 10/7":
Hey, everybody. I'm Brad Dillon. I'm a solutions consultant here at Campfire. Welcome to this live demonstration of the Campfire platform. Just to give a little more background about myself coming into this, I'm a licensed CPA. I spent the better part of the past ten years working in ERP systems across the spectrum, and, I'll be showing you what we can offer on Campfire. But before diving into that, I do wanna showcase a little bit more about who we are as a company and what we can, do for you and your business on a broader, you know, on broader terms. So to that point, gonna hit slide show right here. So, you know, really who Campfire is, we are the the AI native ERP for modern finance teams. We are offering the ability to our customers to, you know, close their books five times faster than they used to. So what used to be a ten day close can now be, like, a two day close or even less than that. We're handling billions of dollars in annual transaction volume across all of our customers. We have the ability to handle, you know, over a 180 different currencies across the entire, world. We handle that natively inside our system via integration, with the European Central Bank's API. We are also offering the ability to to consolidate, multiple tools into, just the Campfire platform. So for so for example, right now, if you're handling your fixed asset depreciation tracking, your lease amortizations, your revenue calculations in different systems, we can handle those inside of Campfire instead and simplify your, your tech stack. We're we're we're also processing, you know, millions of transactions, every every day for, on behalf of our customers, and, we've seen, you know, thousands of dollars of savings realized by our customers. Campfire is currently being used by, you know, industry leaders such as Dekagon, Posthog, and Replit, And we are SOC two and SOC one, you know, certified as well. And then as for what the platform actually is, you know, a lot of platforms out there, they have multiple modules, you know, dozens of them that it's pay a la carte. At Campfire, there's only two modules. It's the core accounting module and the revenue automation module. So just those two to consider, that's all. And then spanning the entire system, we have our Embra dot ai offering, which is our own proprietary agent that we have developed, across Claude, that basically lets you, you know, ask questions about your accounting data, at any time and get this, get, you know, get more insights into what you have available. We'll be diving more into that during the demo here in a moment. We also offer the ability to integrate, Campfire with the rest of your existing finance stack. So if you have, like, AP tools such as, like, Ramp or Bill or Brex, or if you have, like, payrolls such as, you know, ADP, you know, Paylocity, we have the ability to connect to those, just fine and have that data passed into Campfire, via native integration. On the revenue side, we also have a very robust connection with Stripe, Salesforce, and HubSpot. So if you're closing deals and have revenue schedules that need to be passed into Campfire or calculated inside of here, you can have those passed in, you know, through those avenues. And then also, you know, why would... What what are the some of the things that Campfire specifically offers over other ERP systems? So we do have a continuous forecast functionality that lets you see where you're going to land at the end of the month before you even close the books. We'll be getting into that as part of the demonstration today, but really what that lets you see is where you're gonna land without having to post, closing journal entries, too early. So, you know, without having to post, when it's not quite time to do so. We also have the ability to set up agents that will handle repetitive processes inside of Campfire. So if you have, like, certain reports you're running every month or if you're making, like, board decks that have a certain number of slides that have certain information, you can set up agents that can handle that for you and and create that inform... Create those records or documents, automatically at whatever cadence you set. And then, you know, governed by design here, really what this is talking about is that we have a very robust set of controls here as well. And these controls apply not only to, you know, what can people manually create inside of Campfire, but also to what, they can set up with, you know, when we go through through agent... Agentic functionalities as well. And then, you know, finally for, you know, how easy it is to switch over from existing ERP systems to Campfire, we have migration agents set up for QuickBooks and NetSuite. So it's very easy to... If you... If you're using one of those platforms already, very easy to get your information over to Campfire, you know, using those. And also just so you know, we do maintain, incoming records on a transaction level detail so you don't lose any of that, any of that data granularity or fidelity when moving over to Campfire. So overall, we are an AR... AI native ERP that is built for scale. We actually have controls in place for helping our customers pass a SOX, you know, SOX compliant audit. We have publicly traded companies who are using Campfire right now. And then, you know, we we do, like I just said, you know, pretty quick implementation. We We can handle multiple currencies, no problem, including multi book accounting. For customer support, we do have, a direct connection available to our support team via Slack. So, basically, once you're live, it isn't just, you know, set and forget. It's... We're gonna be there with you the entire time. Even going through the, you know, onboarding process. As a solutions consultant who goes through the entire sales cycle with my customers, you know, at the end of that, when we go to my invitation, I'm sitting there with them to make sure the hand make sure the handoff goes smoothly. And then finally, we do have, you know, when we say best class AI, we really do have a... An AI system that was built with accounting tasks in mind. So the way to think about it is is that instead of talking to, like, a generalist, you're going through a cloud or chat to BT, you're talking to a CPA with decades of experience when you talk to Embra dot AI. Now, you know, all this sounds great, but it really doesn't mean much unless we can see the actual platform. So without further to do, here is our, you know, Campfire platform right here. I'm gonna go go over our reporting and our AI functionality as well as briefly touch on our revenue and core accounting functions right here. Under reporting, if we go to income statement right here, gonna do year to date so we have more information to look at. We have the ability to handle non December 31 year ends on here as well as regular one... As well as December 31. So, like, if you have this calendar, you can set it as whatever you'd like as your end date. But for this demonstration, I'm gonna stick with the calendar end date. By default, these numbers below are showing all entities combined. So in this environment, we have all these entities, The UK, India, California, showing all of them combined. If we filter for just one, it'll show us that entity's, you know, total transactions for the period. If we do, like, The UK, for example, this shows us shows us the values in the parent company currency, which is US dollars, but we can move it to be book currency. In this case, we're using euros to UK because it's covering the entirety of Europe. But if we click into one of these, like this 4,900 right here, the euros, we can see the underlying transactions that constitute that value. This is the... Parent company currency right here. But if we change this to be book currency, you can see this €4,900 right here. Coming back over here, if we wanna see more than one entity at a time in our income statement or other reports, we pick which entities we wanna see. This is showing us a combined view of The UK and California. But now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go over here to group by and choose columns, entity. We now see a breakout by entity, California, The UK, and our combined total. To round things out here on our income statement, I'm gonna go back to showing all entities, move this grouping on the columns. If we go to rows here, you can set up custom tags inside Campfire. So we have, like, location, number of properties, program, project, etcetera. All this is, this is just custom, customizable metadata that lives inside your Campfire instance. So for example, project one a, if we click on this one seventy five right here, we'll see on the transactions, we have a column called project and has project one a as as the, value in a lot of these. If we go into our settings here, go into tag groups, you'll see the project and these other values that I was talking about exist as, tag groups inside Campfire. And then we set up the values that go in these tag groups right here. So project, project one a, set project. You can even set up a parent, tag for that. What that will do is see that this rolls up a canyon development project in here. Inside your income statement, that will make sure that it rolls up here. The point is that you can nest these however you would like, and it's fully, customizable. So for example, if you wanna have, like, continent and then, like, country and then state and then city and then maybe office location. I've seen people go as, you know, as many as, like, 10 levels deep and have a 100 different tag groups. So really, sky's the limit on how you wanna customize to suit your your business's needs. Coming out of the income statement, I do wanna touch on our report builder as well. This is where it's very... The Campfire makes it very easy to create customized financial statements, and then we call this just, you know, Brad's demo I slash s right here. Next page, we'll do quarterly. Do entities. Next page, hit report. Gonna fill this for year to date again. We hit edit right here in the far right. This is gonna make it such that we can now drag and drop these accounts. So for example, we have we have 14,600,000 right here in operating expenses. I wanna remove IT expenses. I can grab this, put in remove rows, take rent facilities, put in remove rows as well. Notice that the total up here has been updated in real time. We also can add custom groups down below. So if you add custom group, add group, separated OPEX. Now I'm gonna drag and drop things into the separated OPEX group down below. I'm gonna grab, for example, lease amortization at this right here. Gonna take a legal expense and put this right here as well. You'll now see that that is, in in a group inside the separate OPEX category, and it's been removed from operating expenses, and the total's been updated in real time. Once you're happy with this view, you can save it and then easily come back to it later. So go back to reports. Type in Brad's demo. There it is. And now you can see this, this right here. Same as it was. One more report I wanna touch on is that our our forecasting tool, like I like I alluded to during the opening of this presentation. What this shows right here by default, these green numbers, these are the ones that are showing your actuals, which is what has been posted in the GL already, plus your committed, which is what is currently living on your subledgers. So, for example, if you have amortization that you're expecting to post for the end of the month or revenue that you're expecting to post at the end of the month, that would be considered in your committed. To see a breakdown of this, click on this. We'll see that 58,000 has already been posted for October, and $10,000,000 is expected to be posted for revenue for the rest of this, rest of this month, according to the contracts, subletters for revenue. To take this a step further, we also can include estimates in here. So right now we have our actuals. Click on this, just the actuals, plus our committed right here. And then I'm gonna add our estimates as well. We click on this. This bumps up from 10,000,000 to 11,000,000. How this is being calculated, we go to adjust, is that Embraer AI has come in... Has come into here, and it's looking at, hey. We see these amounts on the actuals and the subletters, but then we're gonna add in our expectation for the rest of the month according to our projections. And those projections were calculated. If we go to, Amber estimates, let Amber choose, we can see the methodology that was used to get that estimate. Of course, you know, October isn't near to being over, so you're gonna have some more deals that will come in to revenue, and that's what Amber's really kind of estimating here. You can also add further notes right here. Just add a note. As these notes get added, they will appear up above, and you can toggle them on and off if you want them to be considered or not when, running this projection again. Finally, you can upload a file right here and have that considered in the projection as well or even have, Amber connected via MCP to external software systems that will allow those, systems data to be considered as well when running the projection. When you're ready to run one account, you can hit rerun this account, or if you're gonna make a bunch of adjustments and then run the whole thing again, you can hit rerun with Amber right here. Now this is just one forecasting tool that we have available in here. This is, you know, the one that we have in the UI. But, really, if you wanna get, you know, kind of creative with this, you can also run forecast through Amber. For the purposes of this demonstration, though, I'm gonna run something a simpler queries or run, you know, during this live presentation. I'm gonna say, give me a list of my top five biggest vendors by spend for July 2026 presenter. And, of course, what's actually happening here is that another big advantage that Amber has over other ERP systems is that we actually have a deterministic model. And the reason... And what I mean by that is that this is actually generating and then executing Python code to get the outcome. Why that matters is that when you're done running these calculations, for anything you run through Ember, you're gonna have this paper trail right here. Click on this. Go to steps. It's gonna show the explicit Python code that was generated and then run it to get this output. Now why this really matters is that when all the time comes or if somebody wants to, you know, look back on this a month from now saying, hey. How do we get this AI generated report or other records at Campfire? They'll be able to come back here and look at this and ascertain that, yes, this actually has, you know, run exactly as, as expected. We can see what is happening here versus having to rely on it... On AI's best guess and hoping that it's not hallucinating. Not only can we run, you know, kind of chat queries inside of inside of Emperor, you also can upload, you know, files in here if you wanted to, you know, consider those in your calculations. You can also generate CSVs, Excels, PowerPoints, you know, etcetera for download. But you also have, as indicated during the, you know, warm up or the opening act of this presentation, you can set up agents as well. We got agents right here. These green ones are the ones that come with the system, such as your AR and AP matching, which is gonna match your open invoices against your incoming, payment activity from your connected bank account, for example. But then we also have these custom ones. Click on custom right here. All these purple ones are ones that people have set up inside this demo environment that will run at whatever cadence we want. So for example, we're talking, like, treasury right here. This is our daily five day rolling treasury cast forecast. What this is doing, we hit runs right here. Click on one of these. This ran three hours ago automatically. This is looking at our treasury accounts, and it's and it's looking to see, is there any accounts we need to move funds from one to another in order to optimize our, treasury returns here. And this is following the instructions that we gave it on the settings right here. We hit edit right here, and it's running at whatever schedule we gave. And to build one of these, it's... You'd really... There's no code required. There's no, like, SQL knowledge no... Needed. All you have to do is go into chat and say, hey, Amber. Build me an agent that does x y z, and continue to work with it as you... Till you get exactly the agent, formatted that you want. One more thing to call out inside of here, and and we also have the ability to set up skills, which can be which can be called from, the Amber chat as well. These are, like, agents that you talk back and forth with where you need... If you, like, need to give it, like, an input such as, you know, which month you're talking about or which customers you're talking about, you can do that here. Files is where you can upload files that Amber then can then consider when running its calculations. Then we have our MCP connectors right here. If we go into this, we have browse, Hit add custom connector. Anything that has an MCP server URL available, we can attempt to connect Ember to it so Ember can read that additional context that lives in external systems even if that... Even if information from that has not been been fully passed over to Campfire via via integration. So So for example, HubSpot. We have an integration with HubSpot, which pass records over from HubSpot directly to Campfire. That's great. But some of that... Some information may be living inside of HubSpot that is not passed over to Campfire. And by that, I mean, like, non gap information or other contextual clues that Amber would not have access to without this MCP connection. Speaking of integrations, we go to our settings right here, go to connections. This is a listing of all of our self serve connections that we have inside Campfire. So this is a nonexhaustive list of what we of what we can connect to. This is just the ones that even after implementation is done, the end user can come back in here and change their connections as needed. So for example, if we go through ramp right here, we go to actions, edit connection. You can see where you can edit what account this is hitting, later on through self-service. We have a... You know, for banking, we have all these plus Plaid. For CRMs, we have HubSpot and Salesforce available. Payroll, we have, you know, ADP, Deal, Gusto. But then even... You know, we can connect even more through Finch. And then finally down here on tax, we have Anrock, Avalara, and a few others available for calculating your sales tax inside Campfire. One more thing inside the settings page I wanna call out is that our team right here, we have role based access controls. So if you invite somebody to the platform, you gotta give them a role right here or give them a a, you know, choose an entity that they have access to inside of Campfire. These roles, if we get a great custom role, these can dictate what they can read, draft, write, and approve inside the system on a functionality basis. You also have the ability to, set up approval workflows. So if, you know, if if you're making a bill record and you've, you know, created it or changed it or whatever, you'll need to have approval approval from either a specific user or a specific role in order to post that. Speaking of other records, I wanna touch on our our revenue right now. Go to revenue right here. This is our contracts page. This is where revenue lives inside of Campfire. All this information is rolled up onto our revenue dashboard right here, which shows your total revenue, your total customers, your ARR, etcetera. We go to contracts right here. We go into one of these. What you're going to see down below is you're gonna see a revenue schedule right here. And this is a, you know, like I mentioned earlier on the forecasting section, this is where your revenue, that will be posted as part of your closing entries, lives. October, we have $8,304.60 dollars. It's gonna be posted, when we, you know, recognize revenue at the end of the month. This revenue schedule is being fed by the subscriptions, usage, and milestones tabs of our contracts. So for subscriptions, we have the ability to to, you know, kind of under ASC six zero six, recognize revenue ratably for the lifetime of of a subscription on the contract, including the build down multiples of subscriptions on here. For usage, this can be anything such as, you know, like API token usage or, you know, time and materials, that kind of thing. That can be passed in from external systems such as BigTime, or other, you know, time management tracking systems to get that usage data in here. Milestones can be like one off charges as well. Once you have everything on your revenue schedule you wanna consider, we can create invoices as well. Invoices right here look like this inside Campfire. I download this. You have the ability to, you know, fully configure this, fill out what our custom fields you wanna have included on this, and they can be sent automatically to the end customer as well. Of course, we have the ability to to embed a Stripe link on here as well. So if you're, you know, currently collecting payments via Stripe, you can have that living, on the invoice as well. This is an example of what an invoice looks like coming out of Campfire. These are fully kinda customizable. Up top, of course, this would be your company's logo and your company's address instead of ours, and you can have information about the, you know, what what products are being included down below. To kind of polish off here real quick on on accounting, we do have the ability to handle bills inside of Campfire as well. So you can connect an email address to Campfire where whenever an email hits that hits that inbox and has a PDF of a bill attached, it can come into here and have an... Have a bill record drafted automatically. From your bills, if you go into one of these, go to, like, this one right here, you have the ability to, to create amortization schedules from lines on the bill. So we can amortize right here. You can go through this to set up a amortization record. I'll I'll actually do this live. We'll do this October 7, 10/06/2027. That's fine. We're gonna hit destination account with the software expenses. Hit next. Hit save. Now we have an amortization schedule available for this. We have the amortization. This lives inside the amortization section right here, and we now see our our amortization schedule down below. These will be posted automatically as part of the amortization recognition, journal entry that gets posted at the end of the month. Not only can we handle amortizations inside Campfire, we handle fixed assets as well. So if you've had... Have fixed assets with a depreciation schedule, those can live inside this. And that includes a reconciliation, a waterfall, and a roll forward report up top. Click into one of these right here. You can see the pre... The depreciation schedule down below. For leases, you can upload leases into Campfire using our CSV template. Once they're inside the system, you can see a full payment schedule down below for... And this works for both operating and finance leases. And then if we go down to close management, we get our checklist right here. We have our monthly, closed management check... Monthly closed checklist. If we click into one of these... This is fully customizable, by the way. This shows a series of, to do items for a given month. So in this case, for October, we have, you know, evaluation repair for entity parent company, revenue recognition, fixed asset depreciation, etcetera. Many of these will automatically draft a journal entry. So for example, if we do, you know, depreciate fixed assets right here, we hit run. This is going to draft a journal entry, for depreciation... Depreciating all the fixed assets that have a depreciation line item on the schedule for October. Inside this closed checklist, you have the ability to assign these, to do items to different people on your team, keep track of who who did this, and keep track of who reviewed it, as well as seeing the journal entry that was created when one of these posted right here. And then into the customization point, we go to actions, add item. You can add an item to this individual list right here. We do also have the ability to add items to the entire checklist template. So add item. And you can have the... Whatever you add, you can add it on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Finally, to speak to the kind of flexibility on this, if we go to October, add item. You can even add AI items onto here. So if you want Amber to run something as part of your period close, you can add that here and make sure that something manually kicks us off and sees it. So maybe just as a spot check here, can you just give me a list of all payments that were issued this month greater than $1,000. Something as simple as that. And I'm gonna say task right here. It has been appended to the list right here. When I hit run, it's gonna kick this off on another tab, and we'll see that Ember has this, has these instructions, booted off and has began to run. So in summary, sky's the limit for what you can do with your... With the agentic, capabilities and your closed checklist and your skills. And, really, this... We see this saving a lot of our customers a lot of time. I've even seen some customers who, they set up a a kind of a web of agents and have been able to kind of just, you know, boot it up and cut it loose and maybe, you know, check-in on this once a day to make sure that everything is going just fine. I did was... Did did wanna leave a little bit of time for questions here at the end. Does anybody have any questions? I I can see on the q and a, section right here. Glad to speak to any of this. Take your time. I've got I've got five minutes. If there are no questions at all, you know, please feel free to reach out to me later on. I'm brad@campfire.ai. So brad@campfire.ai. I do reply, to any messages I get from these, demo sessions. So, you know, it means a lot for you for y'all to come on out here and, you know, be here. So, thank you for for coming out, and, we hope to see you, on a, you know, one on one call to kind of, you know, show what Campfire can do for you and your business. Thank you very much.
