Transcript for "Campfire Product Demo 5/14":
Alright. Hey, everyone. I'm gonna give it a second for everyone to kinda trickle in, but appreciate everyone's time today. And, we're super excited to talk about Campfire, as a solution and a platform. And, again, I'll give it a minute for everyone to kinda trickle through. But, I'm Hank. I lead the customer solution team over here at Campfire. I came to Campfire when, you know, Campfire was just a a one room office in, Downtown San Francisco, with less than 10 people, and we've really grown it very fast since then. We're about a, you know, a hundred hundred plus company now serving about four or 500 customers onto the Campfire tool, and we're incredibly excited to talk about the Campfire, platform and show you the Campfire systems today. So before we start, I'll just kinda give a high level, you know, we're super again excited to show you the Campfire platform. But if there's ever any questions or concerns, anything that you see that catches your eye, feel free to put it into the q and a, and we'll actually be doing live q and a, throughout the product demonstration today. So just put any questions through, and I'll be answering and and calling a lot of those questions out. So, excited for everyone to put their questions in and excited for everyone to see the platform. But, again, I'm Hank, lead the customer solution team over here at Campfire. We're gonna be showing a product demonstration today for Campfire. But before that, we're just gonna show a quick high level, like, what is Campfire as a tool, a little bit of information about Campfire, the history of our company. Campfire, we're an AI native ERP for high growth companies. So we kind of serve the mid market. If you ever used a NetSuite or Sage Intacct or not Dynamics or Acumatica, we're a replacement for that, but we're an AI native next gen replacement for it. So, of course, we have the core kind of accounting automation that you would expect out of a thing like NetSuite, but we've embedded AI within the entire platform. You're gonna see some of the AI in action today. So a little bit about Campfire, AI native in Europe for high growth companies. Our companies that are on Campfire will often close five times faster than their previous systems. We support over 180 plus currencies and about 200 different countries, transacting billions of dollars of volume in Campfire. And we're fully SOC two and SOC one compliant. So fully SOC one and SOC two certified, can save you tons of money in your clothes and sends tons of time in your clothes as well. Reason we built Campfire is that if you're a CFO or you're a controller, kind of like every system within the CFO controller stack has been completely, like, changed and revolutionized in the last couple of years. You have Brex and Ramp on the AP and card spend side, rippling on payroll, Zip for procurement, Pulley and Carta and Airbase for AP, Snowflake, Stripe for payment processing. Like, the entire CFO, in financial stack has gone like a makeover recently. And the last kind of bastion of, like, what's still there is NetSuite and Sage, both kind of built around, like, 1997, 1998, year I was born. It's kind of like the last financial tool that hasn't been, changed recently. So we really wanna bring the ERP and accounting stack into the next generation of tools, generational tools from the UI and, of course, embedding AI within the system just to have a new and fresh system that connects to new and refreshed tools and the whole CFO stack. So that's kind of the one of the reasons we we built Campfire over here. The Campfire platform, we've really simplified, what Campfire offers. We're not a system where, like, you pay for every single kind of micro or mini module that you add on to the platform like Legos. We really just have two products. We have core accounting and everything that comes with core accounting. That's the GL, that's reporting, that's multi entity, that's closed management, prepaid fixed assets, leases, automated accruals, everything you'll need, invoices, bills, that you need on core accounting comes within one package. You just pay Campfire one price. We give you everything that Campfire has, and we'll ship out in the future as well free of charge. So we give everything within our core accounting product. And the second product that we have is for revenue automation. So if you have more detailed like ASC six zero six, complex revenue recognition or anything like that, rev rec, ARR tracking, usage base, or payments, that's the second product that we have. So we only have two products. We try to keep it as simple as possible, where we have core counting and revenue automation if you need it. You can buy one or the other or both. We really make it so that, again, if your business gets more complex in the future, you don't need to go call up your account rep with Campfire to, like, add fixed assets for $6.99 a month. Campfire just has it ready for you to use, and our implementation team can go set up for you free of charge. And, of course, we combine that information with our AI tools as well. Amber AI is your accounting system built into Campfire. It's our own AI tool that we built ourselves where natural language you can ask questions like, hey. Can you build a q one twenty twenty six budget, or can you generate this journal entry accrual for me, or build a flux analysis, or am I ASC compliant with ASC six zero six? You can really ask it any question in natural language, and it'll actually build that response for you, and it sits on top of your GL. So you don't have to worry about having to log into another system or connecting your journal entries or your GL. It's another AI tool. We built it directly into Campfire, and I think you're gonna be really excited what you see today with Ember. One of the last things we have is, you know, we integrate with tons and tons of systems. So, of course, across all of your systems in your stack, ramp, bill.com, Paychex, Rippling, Workday, everything like that, ADP, Stripe, Salesforce, We have all those integrations natively out of the box, and we support them for you. So we support about a 100 integrations today to about 200 payroll systems and about 15,000 banks today, and we're constantly expanding the number of integrations that we have as well. So whether it's an FP and A tool or Stripe or Salesforce or bill.com or ramp or rippling or any of those tools, ADP, we have integrations that are ready for you to go day one, no cost, those integrations. And, of course, we maintain and support those integrations for you on your behalf. And last thing, customers really like this, but we have a CFO bio fund as well. So within Campfire, we have this kind of promo running out, we're not running out. We have this promo running that, if you see a product demonstration of Campfire, not necessarily today's demonstration, but if you see and you work with our sales team and you see a deeper product demonstration that's detailed for exactly what your business runs and you really like Campfire and you want Campfire to be the future of your financial stack, but you're like you're one of a three year next week contract. You're kind of a four year stage license. We have set aside five million dollars to buy you out of your existing ERP contract. So if, again, you're on Acumatica, you're on QuickBooks, anything like that, and you wanna get on Campfire, but, again, you're looking at, like, kind of a longer term contract you're in the middle of, we will just write you a check to get you off of NetSuite or to get you off of Sage and to get you on top of Campfire. So we'd love to tell you a little bit more about the CFO Bio Fund, but, you know, everyone's here to see the product demonstration, so we'll show you the campfire product here. I'm gonna switch screens and hop into the campfire product, but this is, of course, the front page of the campfire system. This is what you'll see whenever you log in for the first time. Couple KPIs and metrics and graphs and charts that come out of the box with things like revenue and cash reserves and transaction categorization over the receivables and payables, cash flow reports as well. So we have all of these that kind of come out of the box, over here at Campfire. And, yeah, you'll be able to track these, and we combine these with financial statement reports. So on the reporting section, left hand side of the screen here, we combine these with our out of the box reports. So you have your income statement, your balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, budget versus actual reports, consolidation within Campfire, consolidation reports. All of these come out of the box. You don't need to pay for an individual report or individual module or anything like that. It all just comes out of the box with the Campfire core accounting platform. There's even a really good question. I think Jacob put a question into the chat as well. He put it into the q and a. Do we charge for API access? Everything's included. You have full access to all of our APIs, Jacob. So to access our APIs, you just go to docs.campfire. Everything is available from API. No cost to access our APIs to push anything in or out of the campfire system. But really just kinda shows that we've compartmentalized everything to a single platform for everything that you'll need or you'll need in the future as well. This is an income statement in campfire. So you've got you see on the left in the reporting section, we have income statement balance, fee cash flow, all these reports that come out of the box, in Campfire. If you wanna be able to, you know, report in Campfire, we have all these reports that come out of the box. And, of course, you can break up your reports by things like multi entity, multi department, multi currency, everything like that. Number one reason why customers will move on to Campfire is that they need some sort of multi entity or multi entity, currency complexity. So if I wanna view this is the consolidated income statement here. But But if I wanna view it broken out entity by entity, I just go to the column section over here on the right, and I drop it down, and I select entity. And I'll be able to see now my income statement broke out sub one, sub two, parent company, consolidated total. We even handle all the intercompany transactions and eliminations for you as well. So in your intercompany transactions, we automatically eliminate for you at period close. So the full consolidation automation comes in Campfire out of the box. So you'll be able to, consolidate in Campfire, within the system. You can also break out by things like multicurrency, departments, donor grants, locations, unlimited custom dimensionality as well. So if you wanna create custom segments, custom dimensions, location, class, department, you can create all of those out of the box, and unlimited versions of them within Campfire. So you wanna see a department by department breakout, you can see that within Campfire. You wanna see entity by department, you just do entity in the columns and departments in the rows right here, and then you'll be able to see and I'll just kind of collapse this out. Open up OPEX, g and a, r and d, sales and marketing on the right hand left hand side of the screen here. You have on a row based level, you open up sales and marketing, and you have all the sub departments underneath it as well. So fully three-dimensional reporting in Campfire. You can do department by entity or currency by class or location by entity. Very easy to customize your financial statements within Campfire and report it across, like, a kind of sub by sub, currency by currency, department by department, method within Campfire. So, again, just high level example of one of the reports we have in Campfire. We have about 50 reports that come out of the box, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance. We have budget versus actual too. So you click on budget versus actual, you have unlimited budgets you can set up. So you can do budgets by departments. You can do budgets by subsidiary. You can do departments by, like, your custom dimensions, maybe, like, even customer or vendor based budget. So you can set those up within Campfire, create unlimited versions of those or as many forecasts as you need to compare the actuals in the income statement and balance sheet side. So budget versus actual comes out of the box. But maybe there's a report that, you know, it's not just a core income statement. You wanna build a report from the ground up. What we can do is we have a custom reporting section here. This report page has all the reports that come out of the campfire. We have custom reports as well. So let's say I wanna build a custom financial statement here. I wanna build, an income statements without depreciation, and amortization costs. I'm gonna build this custom report here. I'm gonna give it a title, and I'm gonna select the account in the groups. And then I'm gonna generate the report here, and now we have our custom report, our custom income statement here. So this doesn't affect the core income statement, but we can do things like break out the report on a column by column basis. So what we can do is, like, hey. You know, we have the income statement here. I don't wanna track depreciation expense. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna find depreciation expense over here, the GL account. I don't want it, so I'm gonna drag and drop depreciation expense out to remove rows, and then OPEX recalculates without depreciation expense inside of it, or your net income is gonna recalc without depreciation expense inside of it. Or maybe I wanna take rented facilities, and I wanna move into cost of goods sold. I wanna move something above the line. I just drag and drop rent into COGS, and now COGS is gonna recalculate with this GL account inside of it. Or I wanna go I wanna go crazy. I wanna put insurance expense into revenue. You can do that as well. You can put insurance expense in this 4,000 revenue account. It's gonna recalculate that GL account inside of it. So what we really build in Campfire is custom reports that are very, very deep. You have full customization. You can do groupings or formula rows or on a transactional basis, build reports from the ground up. We made it really easy to use. So instead of having to, like, take a class of, like, how to customize a report in, like, NetSuite or Sage, we just made it where it's all just kinda drag and drop within the Campfire system. You can save these reports. You can share them from a user to user, everything like that. It's all just kinda drag and drop within the system. So, again, the core financial statements come out of the box, budget versus actual, and custom reports as well. One of the last things I'll say that we also have is we also have financial statements, can be accessed from our AI tool. So maybe there's something that you can't generate, but you wanna be able to pull it out from AI. What we have is we have something called EmberAI. EmberAI is the AI tool that's built inside of Campfire. You can ask it anything you want as long as you have the right permissions to and the permissions to control settings. So let's say you're a CFO and, you know or CEO and, you know, you don't wanna even drag and drop a report, but you wanna build a report that says, like, hey. Can you build us a report that shows the trends in, let's say, revenue, COGS, OPEX, gross margin, and ending cash balance on a month over month basis from January 2026 to March 2026. I can put this prompt into the tool. It's gonna understand my prompt, and it's gonna go back into the GL data. It's gonna fetch my income statement, my balance sheet. It's gonna get the transaction level data. And what it's gonna do is it's gonna build a summary table. It's gonna build the information and kind of table and visual format, build the charts and graphs that are needed. It's gonna do some computational analysis for you as well. And, yeah, it's gonna build a report for you. So we'll give it, like, ten more seconds. And while it kinda we wait for this to to run, you can actually see the Python code. The way it works in the campfire is, actually, all the math is being done programmatically in Python. We actually just write the Python code for you. So it produces the results, like, very accurately and consistently in a month over month basis. There's actually another question while this again, we wait for this to generate. I think Brian asked a question about how can you access the product. Brian, after this, we'll if you take a product demonstration of Campfire, we actually have our free trial of Campfire that you can use. So it's a full production environment. There's no time limit. You can just kinda try out Campfire and see how you like the tools, see how you like the AI's, issues and everything like that or the AI, kind of capabilities within Campfire. So it's, absolutely, we have a free trial of Campfire that we can actually show you and you can play around in. You can even connect your banks and integrations if you wanna see how your transactions flow through. And then Prakash asked a really question too, because there's a little bit more experience, I think, in using AI tools. Cause he asked a great question about, is token consumption for usage, including the licensing costs and Prakash? The answer is yes. All of the AI tools use tokens, but you actually just pay for that as part of your license. Your license includes unlimited access to Embraer AI and all the functions it has. So all of the usage comes with just the license of Campfire. We can really try to simplify it where you just pay one price for Campfire. It's organized by, like, you know, basically c cost. You have full access to the Campfire platform, including all the AI tools we have. But we let the AI system, we let EmberAI kind of use the tool. We built a report here. It has a couple kind of visual charts and graphs and everything like that, some key takeaways. Even supporting files. If you wanna download the images, you wanna download the Excel files for support, we would generate those for you as well. So it saves all this information for you, key highlights, everything like that. So, again, if there's ever any reports that you wanna be able to generate, you just ask Campfire, you ask Ember, and you'll be able to do it. We see customers ask things like, give me a list of all my customers that have invoices that are ninety days outstanding. They get a list of all those customers and all those invoices, and they ask another prompt that says, I want you to send an email to all those customers with a link to all their invoices and everything like that. So we can able to have the Campfire system even send automated recovery emails to say, hey. Your you have invoices outstanding. And we even have the ability to send, emails to, like, chase down customers. So the AI tool can do anything within Campfire. It can build reports. It can build transactions. I'm gonna pull a new chat over here, and I'm gonna say something like, this is a little bit different, but this is more in the accounting automation side. We're gonna do something like, hey. Every month, we get vendor bills, from our vendor, Figma. Can we, allocate our Figma bills by department and department's headcount? Use the departmental level allocation skill, and do this for April 2026. So what it's gonna do is we gave it a prompt that says, like, hey. We wanna be able to allocate all of our vendor bills on a month over month basis, to, like, the different departments. So we get the bill from Figma. That's our vendor, but we wanna be able to break it out by department. We can ask it to bill that prompt. It's gonna find that vendor bill for us here, and it's gonna actually calculate the headcount of our company in the system and calculate the percentage by r and d, sales and marketing, g and a. It's gonna calculate what the percentage is gonna be, that percentage allocation, and then it's gonna verify the math, and then it's gonna build the journal entry for you. Now it doesn't actually post the journal entry for you, but it prepares what the journal entry should look like. And from here, you can hit create journal entry, and you can save the transaction, and it really helps you save and automate time by automating accounting tasks for you. So this is an example of, like, using the system to automate an accounting task and allocation of a journal entry. And it could be one bill. It could be 50 bills. It could generate 50 journal entries if you wanted it to. So it can do things like in a single prompt, help do things allocations, accrual automation. We have customers that just dump, like, a PDF of the vendor agreement that they have, and and Embraer can actually help generate what your accrual should be and book a reversal as well. It can do things like build the flux analysis for you. It can do things like you upload a vendor bill and it creates a vendor bill PDF, and it creates a vendor bill for you, or it can do things like build fixed assets or allocations or leases. It's really just automated through the AI tool. And what's really great about Campfire is that this is kind of a one off time. Like, we asked it one time to create this and you create this chat. Let's say you wanna get this super, super automated. Once this is done, this journal entry is created, what you can do is on the bottom here, we're gonna ask and this is super important. We did this one time. We can say, hey. This looks really good. Can you do this for me automatically on a monthly basis? Can you create an agent that does this for me monthly? So for those of you that don't know, an agent is an AI task that basically accomplishes things for you in the background automatically. So it's gonna take this prompt that we have, this kind of 20 word prompt, and it's gonna create an automated workflow that just does this automatically for every month. So it's gonna ask us a couple questions of what we mean, and it's we're gonna create this agent for us. So the Figma headcount cost allocation agent. Again, it took my 20 word prompt, and what it does is it creates this agent. It schedules the agent monthly, but we can change this to daily, weekly, or monthly, or manual, and it can do it on the first, fifth, tenth, fifteenth. We can do this on a specific day of the month as well. And what it's gonna do is it's gonna get your bills, your GL accounts, your vendors, your entities, your departments. It's gonna create a journal entry and send an email and Slack message for you to be able to notify you for this. So, essentially, what this agent is gonna do is every month, it's gonna run automatically in the background to prepare what the journal entry should look like. And our agents in Campfire, again, natively built within the system, you can get all of your transactions. You can get your journal entries, invoices, products, tags, contracts, budgets, approvals, fixed assets, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow. It can get everything in Campfire for you, and then it can create charts, tables. It can create Word docs, PowerPoint Excel, PowerPoint docs, Excel docs as well, create intercompany journal entries, invoices, bills. It can create every record for you in Campfire and then send you an email or a Slack message, connect to other tools as well via integration, and, yeah, you can see who can run it. Everyone in this company are seeing permission groups, so permission to controls. It just wrote the instructions for you. Hey. Every month, you're gonna allocate the system wrote the instructions for itself. Every month, you're gonna allocate the Figma vendor bills for the prior calendar month using headcount based department percentages to post a balanced journal entry to the GL. And it writes all these steps, finds the Figma vendor using get vendors, find Figma as more technical, get the Figma bills, sum the balances, apply a headcount based allocation, build a balanced journal entry. You have everything in here that it writes instructions for you in a hard code. It's kind of some of, like, the GL accounts. But this is all customizable. Like, if at the end, you wanna say, like, hey. Step eight. Step eight is gonna be send me an email to, just go to my hang at campfire dot a I, that notifies me that you did this. You can actually have it send an email for you as well. You can write more instructions or fix instructions if you want. So, again, the system is gonna kind of create this, and we'll save the agent, and then shows up on our agents platform here. So this our agents platform, it has a list of all the agents that we built within the tool. And for all these agents, there's another agent that we had. You have all these steps and instructions and everything like that, and then you have a history of every time the agent ran. This one ran a month ago. You every time the agent ran, you have an audit log of what that agent did. Every time the agent runs, you have an audit log that says, hey. Here's all the bills and transactions that it was based off of. Here's a list of all the journal entries that it posted for you or prepared for you. You can have approvals on those journal entries as well. You can build journal entries, fix assets, bills, invoices, everything like that. But you have a saved audit log for every time the agent runs, and it has even a Python code that it, like, generated as well. So, like, that's a little bit more on the technical side, but that's how we get kinda completeness and accuracy on some of the agents. But the way we built Campfire is we've essentially built, like, OpenAI or Cloud within the Campfire environment that can take actions for you. And whether those actions are just creating kind of a simple report or doing things like an accrual or an allocation for you, but we've made it where it's fully auditable as well where every time the agent does anything, it's saved within the agent audit log, has its own agent audit log environment, and your auditors or approvers can actually work into the system to make sure they have comfort over this. We've actually spent a lot of time with big four accounting firms, specifically on internal controls and procedures on our AI tasks and tools to be able to provide comfort and analysis over everything that the agents are doing within Campfire. So, again, we are super deep on on the AI side and super deep on agents, but some of the kind of task and tools that Campfire has. But just to kinda finish this off, and we can connect our agents to, like, other kind of outside third party tools. So we have MCP connectors. We can connect it to Ramp and HubSpot, Stripe, Avalara, your other kind of custom connectors as well. But even if you don't use any of the AI tools within Campfire, I just wanna highlight, even if you don't use AI, here's all the features we have on the left hand side of the screen. So we don't have time, unfortunately, to go through all of them. But after this call, we'll have someone from our team reach out to you to see if you'd like to see a more detailed product demonstration that's really tailored to your business, and someone from my team is gonna lead that call. But, again, even without AI, we have journal entries, invoices, bills, amortizations, fixed assets, lease accounting, general ledger. We have cash management. We integrate to about 25,000 different bank accounts today. Bank accounts, transactions, we do the automatic bank reconciliation for you. Close management. Well, we have a close management tool where we can write a flux analysis, checklist, accruals, everything like that within the system. So we have full automation for all of these. Like, for leases, just as one example of a feature we have, we have the full lease amortization for you where you tell us the discount rate, prepaid costs, payment schedules, and it'll build the entire lease module for you where you have the payments, your interest. We'll auto generate the journal entries. We'll calculate the interest on a daily basis. We even give you, like, the right of use balance on an ending basis. We have tons of accounting automation, revenue recognition, invoicing, contract management that we have within Campfire. We're a full financial ERP platform that has AI built inside of it. So, again, depending on what your business does, we can help automate a lot of those day to day tasks, and we'd love to be able to show you in a much more detailed product demonstration that's getting tailored to your business. But the last thing I really wanna show is our closed checklist. To help automate the closed process, we've built a closed product within the cool. If you've used, like, a FloQast before or BlackLine or Numeric, we built a version of that. It's free of charge, and you can do things like depreciate your fixed assets. I'm just gonna reopen this task. And, essentially, what Campfire can do is when you hit run for depreciate fixed assets, it's gonna automatically build the journal entry for you. And when you build the journal entry, it's gonna have assigned to, completed by, reviewed by, a link to the journal entry, support, attachments and notes, due dates, everything like that. You can have AI agents, again, within the closed checklist. So your AI tools can actually do things like eliminate your intercompany transactions or build a flux analysis. We do things like build a flux analysis. What it's gonna do is it's actually gonna go read all your transactions because it read the descriptions, the invoices, the bills, and it's gonna build this report for you, a variance analysis, for you that has a GL account, period one, period two, the differences. And then we're just gonna write the first level of commentary for you. So OpenAI usage, one of our kind of hosting cost account here, it increased 441,000 while another vendor grew a 108,000. Service revenue, transaction volume increased from three to 42 transactions. New customers, Adobe Next Capital. So we actually read and parse through all of your GL detail, develop an understanding, and write the first level analysis for you. AI writes the text, and, of course, you can make edits. You can train the AI to write better. You can even say, hey. Here's my historical flux. I want you to write it like me. So, again, just really wanna highlight that we built a fantastic NextGen ERP tool that can accomplish the same functions features you have within, like, a NetSuite or Sage or QuickBooks or Xero, but we've really embedded AI deeply throughout the entire platform. So whether that's just asking a simple question like building a report or automating a lot of the day to day aspects of your tool, We've really built a fantastic AI system and a fantastic ERP platform in Campfire. So we'd love to have your business. With the remaining time, we'd love to be able to answer some of the questions people have. RC has a question about projects with revenue expenses. Yes. You can. Whether it's a custom tag or, RC, we have a concept of something called a revenue contract that can generate revenue charges, invoices. You can bill customers and collect from them. So we absolutely do have that in Campfire. Chris, we can absolutely drill down to any transaction. So if I go to the reports here, he asked a question about can I drill the transactions? You click on any number in Campfire. You can drill into the underlying journal entry detail within Campfire here. So you can drill into all these transactions and drill into a journal entry really easily. You'll notice that it just takes a couple seconds to drill into all of your transactions as well. So you have full drill ability into journal entries, the vendor bills, and everything like that. You know, I think I've been asked a question about, or a question about, potential partners. We love to work with potential partners. So we actually have a really strong partnership motion. Some of the biggest kind of NetSuite partners and Sage partners have built Campfire practices as well. Brian, we actually do have a lot of those. Brian, unfortunately, we can't go through all the agents. We actually have prebuilt agents that do things like categorizing transactions, reconciling your bank transactions. We even have an agent that literally you upload your PDF bank statement to, and we auto reconcile back to your cash transactions by scanning the PDF form. It can auto tag, like, specific departments or vendors or anything like that. Obed asked a question about, can agents be controlled by people authorized to do so? Absolutely. We actually have very detailed permissions controls of who can access even switch specific agents. So within the agents here in the edit settings, you can see who can run the agents, everyone in the company, only the creator, only company admins, same permission groups, and you can turn off agents and AI for some individuals as well, into the system. So, yeah, with that, just wanna say again, appreciate everyone's questions and interest into the Campfire tool. We'd love to have your business, and we'd love to partner with you to see what Campfire can do to automate a lot of your day to day accounting tasks.
