Transcript for "Campfire Product Demo (January 2026)":
Everyone. Thank you all for joining. I will give it one or two minutes for everyone to kind of hop into the webinar and hop in the room. But we'll say, first of all, thanks so much for everyone's time. And we're incredibly excited to show you the Campfire tool and Campfire solution today and what we built over here at Campfire. So, again, as we I'll give a minute or two for people to to kinda file in. But my name is Hank. I lead the technical sales team over here at Campfire. Actually came from the legacy, ERP environment. I was at Oracle NetSuite for four or five years, was a public accountant before that, licensed CPA in the state of California. And we are building a fantastic tool into Campfire to help automate a lot of the kind of day to day account attacks you might be going through on a daily basis. We'll go through a couple of slides and then we'll go through the product demonstration, but just wanna say that if there's ever any questions or comments or concerns, put them into the chat or into the q and a. And we have some time at the end of the call where I'll go through all those questions live. So put as many questions or comments into the chat, and I'll be able to answer them live for you on the call at the end. But, yeah, incredibly slide show you the Campfire platform today. We are the modern ERP and accounting platform that's built for scale and automation, and an AI native tool as well. A little bit of history on Campfire is that John Glasgow, CEO and founder of Campfire, really built the tool because he felt that there hasn't been a lot of change in the ERP market for twenty or thirty years. I mean, kind of in the mid market segment, NetSuite is probably one of the most common built in 1997, 1998, which is really when I was born. So nothing's really changed for the last twenty five, thirty years. We want to build a modern ERP system that's based off of, of course, consumer grade, next gen, refreshed user interface, but also has a lot of the AI tools built natively inside the platform to help automate a lot of the day to day accounting transactions you might have. Again, a lot of successful funding from Excel, Y Combinator, Ribbit Capital. We raised $100,000,000 back in 2025 to build the next gen ERP tool. And we've had a ton of customers, hundreds of customers hop on the Campfire today that have moved from QuickBooks, from NetSuite, from Sage Intact. Replit, for example, is one of the fastest growing software companies in The United States today. We have healthcare companies as well. So AbiCare, Solve Wellness as well CareRev and then of course companies all over the globe in different industries. We even have manufacturing and airplane manufacturers on Campfire today as well. Some of the pain points of why we built Campfire, you know, QuickBooks and Xero, you have, you know, you know, more down market. You have a ton of like, you know, missing a lot of accounting schedules. So you don't have prepaids or revenue recognition recognition or approval workflows or multi entity. From NetSuite or Sage, you obviously have the increased cost, but there's still tons of manual accounting tasks. There's not really a ton of, you know, artificial intelligence built into the tools as well. And we really built Campfire to solve all of this to have all of your accounting schedules, multi entity, but then also have artificial intelligence built into the tool as well, which we'll see a couple use cases in the product demonstration today. But yeah, no, the Campfire platform, we're a little different when it comes to like pricing Campfire. A lot of our other competitors will kind of say like, hey, if you want fixed assets, that's gonna cost $700 a month or something like that. We just give you everything and we only have two products. We just have revenue automation. So if you have like revenue recognition or deferred revenue, we have a revenue automation product, and then we have core accounting within Campfire. So core accounting is like, you know, your core GL reporting, prepaids, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, APAR, everything's included within core accounting, everything we have today and everything we're gonna release in the future. So for example, for core accounting, all of our customers were asking for like, hey, can we do leases within Campfire? We built and shipped the lease amortization module in pretty much like two weeks and just gave it to all of our customers as part of their core accounting free of charge. So core accounting and revenue automation are the two tools that we have within Campfire and the two kind of products we have. So everything's kind of incorporated within these two products. And then, of course, we're the center of the modern accounting stack. So all of your, like, you know, if you have Stripe or if you have Salesforce or you have, your ramp or bill or Topalti on the AP side, ADP on payroll, anything like that. We have all those pre built integrations into Campfire today. So it was all pre built to push data into Campfire. So tons of integrations we have. And then the one last slide, and I'm going a little quick because I want to spend a lot of time with the product demonstration, is that we have a CFO BioFund. So if you like what you see today and you want to have some continued calls within Campfire and you make the decision that, hey, I want Campfire to be the accounting system for my future, but I'm stuck in a $250,000 NetSuite contract for, like, three more years I can't get out of. If you wanna move to Campfire, we have allocated $5,000,000 to buy you out of your existing ERP contract today. So if you wanna move to Campfire, but you're again in the middle of a big, like, you know, Microsoft Dynamics contract, we will just write you a check to get you onto Campfire. So we've allocated some money and cash for you, and we love to kind of work work on what some of the next steps are for the buyout fund, but just want something to let you know that we do a buyout fund for all of our customers on existing ERP contracts today. But with that, we'd love to show you the Campfire platform. So with the Campfire platform, I will hop into the Campfire system today right here. This is the front page of Campfire. So this is what you're gonna see whenever you log in for the first time. Couple KPIs and dashboards and reminders that we have out of the box, like overdue receivables and overdue payables and like, you know, burn rates, cash reserves. We have the revenue dashboards as well. So we have these dashboards built off of different, you know, kind of streams within Campfire. So if you're heavy on revenue and you track like ARR, we even have some of these customizable dashboards for you to use. So stronger dashboards and some high level KPI reporting. And then, of course, this is an income statement within Campfire. So this is, of course, like the kind of core financial statement reporting within the Campfire tool that we have today. This one's broken out month by month. So like October, November, December, and the consolidated total. And then of course, Campfire is multi entity. So you can set this many entities as you need to within the Campfire tool. So you can track sub one, sub two, parent company, consolidate a total. We even help track all the eliminations for you as well. So if you have intercompany transactions, eliminations on intercompany APAR, we have the ability to actually automatically book those entries into eliminations for you at period close. You can set up as many entities as you need to within Campfire and even do, like, very complex entity structures. If you have subsidiaries of subsidiaries and you have, like, a verticalized substructure, we happen to have the ability to even help track a sub of subs and do the consolidations that way as well. So can set as many entities as you need to within Campfire and automate a lot of the consolidation processes within the Campfire tool today. We even have some customers that are running like a 100 plus subs on Campfire, and they do all of the separate, like, reconciliations, close process for all those subs. I would not wanna be their account. We we help them a lot in the consolidations, but if you have tons and tons of of entities, we can still help you out there as well. One of the thing we have too is we have custom tags. So we have unlimited custom dimensions. So if you use department or like class or location, we have unlimited custom dimensions you can track. So locations, products, projects, everything like that. You can set as many of these custom tags as you need to, and then break out all of your reports by location, by department, by class, by any of your custom segments you wanna break out for as well. So unlimited custom tags within the Campfire platform. And then the one last thing that we can do that a lot of customers like is that we have like a fully three-dimensional reporting system within the Campfire tool. And what that means is that, you know, if we open up OPEX here, we have the GL accounts that make up OPEX for all of these months. But let's say we wanna build like a three-dimensional report. In the rows, we want the ability to track, let's say, the departments. So we'll put the departments in the rows. And if we open up departments in the rows right here, and if we open up OpEx, we have the departments broken out on a row by row level. And then if we open up, like, HR recruiting, we have all the GL accounts that just flow up to this department in OpEx. And because we put it in the rows, we now have the columns freed up to do like a month by month analysis. Or we can do maybe departments in the rows, and we can do entities in the columns. So department and entity as well, or we have all the entities broken up on the columns and then entities by departments. And, of course, the GL accounts under these these as well. So you can build a fully customizable three-dimensional report within Campfire for location by department or entities in the rows by departments in the columns. So it can fully customize exactly how reports look within Campfire to be the exact report you're looking for. And of course, custom reports as well. So if you use custom reports heavily or want to be able to build custom reports, we also have the ability to do so as well within the Campfire tool. So that's another thing that we can help build out within the Campfire system. So this is an example of the income statement. We of course have balance sheet, cash flow, TB, customer reports, budget versus actual, unlimited budgets that you wanna be able to create in and help forecast as well. And then we have something called a customer report within Campfire. So this is a custom income statement, a custom P and L here. I'll open all these up so you get the GL accounts. And so we have a custom income statement here, again, broken out by month. If I go into hit edit here, what we can do is, let's say we're trying to build a custom income statement and look, we're trying to calculate EBITDA. We just wanna get rid of depreciation and amortization expense. How we can do that is that we build a custom report here and then you see depreciation right here at the bottom. On the very bottom row here, we just drag depreciation out and then OpEx recalculates or net income, you know, calculates without depreciation expense in the report. Can do the same thing for amortization as well. So we can drag and drop out amortization expense. Can drag and drop out any GL account we want out of here. So drag out legal expense as a removed row. Or, you know, we wanna move things above or below the line. Maybe like legal expense, we consider part of cost of goods sold. We can just drag and drop legal expense into COGS over here. And now COGS is gonna recalculate with this extra GL account inside of it as well. We can go we can go crazy. We can even put legal expense into revenue as well. And revenue is gonna recalculate with legal expense inside of it. I wouldn't recommend that, but it's full customizability in terms of how you can drag and drop the geo accounts into each other. And maybe you want legal expense to go into rent and expense. So now if you open up rent, we have legal expense flowing underneath rent expense. And this is a custom report, so it doesn't actually affect your core chart of accounts or your core reporting. This is just kind of your unlimited playground to build any sort of customer report you want. And if you go back to the income statement, your core core income statement, your GAAP financial statements, nothing's gonna change. This is just for a customer what we're building out within Campfire. Can do custom groups, custom formula rows, everything like that within the tool. So have all that kind of customization within the Campfire system today. That's some of the customer reporting. I wanna get into some of the AI reporting that we have as well because we are an AI native tool. We were built with AI in mind, actually built after Chat two fifty three point o was created. So some of the tools we have and this is our closed checklist, by the way. So a little bit of a sneak peek of what we're gonna see. Our closed checklist is kind of like if anyone used a Flowcast or a BlackLine before, we have a version of that free of charge for you. So you can set up all of your, like, depreciated fixed assets and it's creating journal entries and who completed it and reviewed it and everything like that. So we have a free close checklist. The reason I pulled this up is because what customers are doing today is they're using our AI tool to help automate their close process. If anyone here is using we're building a flux analysis, for example, and you do a flux analysis every month, you can put this task. Hey, can you build our flux for this month? And then if I just hit run over here on the right hand side, we are gonna have Ember, our AI tool, our home built AI tool, automatically build a flux analysis report for us. So Ember is gonna build a flux analysis. It's a little small here on the on the left. We're gonna build a flux analysis. Here's your threshold for fluctuations and your $2,000 materiality threshold. And so we have the AI tool going through and finding all the trial balance values. So here's all the GL accounts that had a difference that are above that materiality threshold. Service revenue went up 67%, went up $500,000 and everything like that. So it's gonna find all the TV values, the trial balance differences on a month by month basis for you. The AI tool is gonna summarize all the data for you within the Campfire system and kind of present that report to you. Here's how all these GL accounts changed, all powered through through AI. And, course, what we're gonna do after that is we're gonna read every journal entry that you have in your entire GL platform. The AI is gonna read that and actually draft all the commentary for you as well. So actually, here's the final report where you have the GL account here, September, October, the difference as a percentage, the difference as a total, and we will have the AI tool read through. You could have millions of journal entries and vendor bills and customer invoices. We will read through all of those, the dates, the descriptions, the dollar values, and drop all the commentary for you as well. Hosting costs and COGS increased as really small here. I'll I'll zoom in to make it little easier, but hosting costs on this GL account increased 90% despite maintaining the same transaction count, indicating significant price increases with huge scaling. So it's actually developing and writing the understanding of what is causing these differences. OpenAI, one of the vendors we had in our platform, their costs tripled from $209,000 to $650,000 while Hugging Face, another one of our vendors, increased their dollar amounts and to COGS to $300,000 Anthropic, another vendor, was discontinued once a month, so it didn't show up in October, while uncategorized hosting expenses went up 1000%, indicating substantial infrastructure expansion. We will write extremely detailed commentary for you. Payroll expenses grew 90% while Ripley was removed as a vendor, for example. Latham walk ins, when it comes to legal expenses, legal expenses increased 215% while transaction count doubled. Latham fees nearly doubled to 81,000. And knowing Latham, this is like four billable hours for their lawyers. Uncategorized legal expenses went up to 600% in a certain month. So we will write, like, extremely detailed commentary for you based off of our understanding of all of your transaction details within Campfire. And, hey, if you wanna even go even more detailed and say, like, those Latham bills look interesting. Can you take can you give me some more information about all those amounts? Maybe give me some descriptions. You can continue talking to the tool as well. And again, it's built on top of your entire GL platform. So you can continue asking and building prompts and just talking to the system, And the system will go back into your GL data and pull, like, more transaction level detail for you. So here's more transaction level detail. Give it a second, and it's gonna start, like, actually getting you some more and more detailed data. For example, the source data, it'll actually give you all the raw source data. So the source data for all the Latham legal expenses from September and October, the journal entries, the JEID, the GL accounts, the entities that it's hitting, and then it's giving you more transaction details. So in September, here's a bill for legal fees for August 2025 or September 2025 for anything like that. You'll have like the dollar values, the departments it's gonna hit everything. So legal retainer bills. Actually And I noticed something here, which is that, you know, it gives some more and more information, but like we got a bill in October 25, but the description says it's for hourly fees in September 25. So maybe this actually belongs in another period. I can ask the system, hey, for bill number 4209842, this was booked in October, but I think it should be long in September. Can you prepare a journal entry for the accrual, for this? Because it may be a missing accrual. We can put this prompt inside the tool, and then it can actually help prepare the journal entry for you as well. So it's gonna read the description. In a second, we'll actually have it go through, like, the full missing accrual search. I did this one manually, but I can do a missing accrual search for you as well where it's gonna look at, like, this specific transaction. And, yeah, hey, bill for 29,000, it should have been for another period. It should have been accrued for September 30. Let's prepare the adjusting entry, and it'll prepare the journal entry for us here. It doesn't post the entry until you actually hit create transaction, but it prepares the transaction for you with the GL accounts it should hit. And you can hit create transaction here, and then it has, like, the vendor. It has the description. You can add a reversal day on the journal entry and everything like that. And then the really important thing is that we help generate all the JEs for you, but we don't post them without your knowledge. So to actually post this entry, you have to hit create transaction twice, and you can make updates for departments and everything like that. And if I did save this transaction and this journal entry is now posted, in the audit log, we also have those created via AI as well. We even have the URLs that are in the audit log too. So anyone who's approving this entry or opting this entry can then look up the URL, and they'll see all the, you know, detail conversation history, all the raw source data as well. So the raw source data for these amounts. So it's extremely auditable in terms of the approval workflows and the audit log for everything related to AI. So we'll have AI automatically prepare the entry for you, give you all the audit steps and approval workflows, and then give you full traceability on every transaction that AI can help create within the Campfire tool. So remember, this all started from just us kind of building a flux analysis. We had the AI tool build a flux analysis with all the really detailed commentary for us. And then we asked it for, like, more details about, like, all of our vendor bills from one specific vendor. And then we, had to create a journal entry for us for missing accrual. So all can happen within the same chat context. This is the AI tool that's free of charge. So for every customer that's on Campfire, you can ask it a million questions if you want, within the Campfire tool. So, that's one of the AI tools that we have. We can even have it do something like a missing accrual search. So what we can do is we can have it run a missing accrual search. So this is, particularly great. A lot of corporate accounting teams like this because you're closing the period. You gotta do, like, one of the worst tasks ever, which is looking for missing accruals because it's not like the data's there really easily for you. We can have the AI tool actually go through transaction or vendor transaction details to say, does this vendor always send us a bill thirty days too late? And then if that's the case, then maybe we have to consider generating an accrual based off vendor transaction histories, maybe or there's vendor bills that were subsequently posted in the next period that should have belonged in a previous period. Can you read the descriptions for all of those and make some recommendations for those accruals as well? So it can do like more interesting searches as well. So here's the missing accrual analysis where we have the bill date, the dollar amount, the description. So here's like your raw bill data, the risk level for a missing accrual, and then why it's a missing accrual. Hey. We had this one bill from Allstate Insurance here for $210,000 that posted in November, but the description says it's from August to November. So three month period. The risk level is now high. That's a missing cruel. And that the coverage period should have been this. The October portion should have been this. We did the math for you. Should be accrued in October. And just like we saw with the Latham bill, we can have the AI tool. Can you can you prepare a JE for that Allstate accrual for October. And let's say journal entry. And show all the math in the description. So it can even do, like, more complex, like, math equations, which is, like, well, we got 210,000 for three months. How many days are in each month? And, like, using daily accounting, generate what the accrual should be on a day by day basis per month. So it can even do, like, more complex, like, math transactions and post all the proof within the journal entry description itself. So we'll give it like a second for it to run that. But just wanna highlight kind of show like some of the AI tools we have built inside inside the platform, within Campfire to help automate a lot of these So you can see here in the memo, we wrote like super detailed, maybe we could format a little bit better, you know, 210,000, there's ten days in August, there's thirty days in September, here's how much it should be per day. So help generate a lot of those entries for you. But this is just a couple examples of AI tools within Campfire. And after I show these AI AI tools, always have to kind of give disclaimer that, like, we're not just like an AI layer that sits on top of your financial information. We're full ERP platform. What that means is if we go back, we have tools for journal entries, intercompany journal entries. We have full invoicing AR capabilities, full AP, vendor management, credit memos, debit memos, amortizations of fixed assets. We even do eight forty two leases. So if you have like a lease, for example, we can generate like your eight forty two lease amortization schedule on a monthly basis and like what's the right of use balance, right of use ending, everything like that. So even like the super detailed technical records in Campfire, we can manage too. For revenue, we have full deferred revenue management. So contracts, SLG, SaaS based SaaS based revenue recognition, deferred revenue, usage based revenue as well. Invoicing in Campfire, have done and you can shake down your customers. We'll send automated emails. We can even send payment links in Campfire where people can pay through payment portal from Stripe as well. And then cash management, cash reconciliation, approvals, internal controls, the closed checklist, bank recs. We have all those tools that come out of Campfire today. We obviously can't show them in just kind of thirty minutes. But after this call, if there's anything specific that anyone would like to see, please reach out. We'll actually have someone reach out to you and to see if you'd to see a much deeper product demonstration and someone from my team will walk you through probably a one to two hour product demo of whatever you want to see within Campfire and give us all of your kind of pain points of your existence today and we'll show them how Campfire can help solve a lot of those within your current system. But just wanna kind of highlight all the different tools we have, reporting, APAR, revenue recognition, everything like that within Campfire. And then even for, like, revenue particularly, we have the ability to track, a revenue transaction. So someone in the chat asked about, like, SaaS versus, I think, Ina, I hope I got their name right, Ina. You might have asked about, like, can we do complex transactions, or can you do mixed revenue stream businesses like SaaS and usage? And absolutely. We can create subscription SaaS based deferred revenue schedules here where we can create, like, a deferred revenue schedule based off of, like, a monthly subscription. And here's, like, what's gonna hit deferred revenue, what's gonna hit revenue out of deferred revenue, and combine that with usage based revenue recognition as well where we can pre save like usage tiers in Campfire. So we have like usage tiers in Campfire. So you can set like a usage pricing tier where like from one usage to a 100,000 is 9¢ from 101 to 1,000,000 is 7¢. And we'll do all the revenue recognition and invoicing off of usage as well. We can even do prepaid usage. So if you wanna like prepay and sell like 2,000,000 credits or tokens and you wanna draw down from those, we can even do like FIFO versus weighted average and invoice and revenue recognition off of that. So we are incredibly, incredibly deep on, of course, the core GL, like prepaid fixed assets, amortizations, but also incredibly deep when it comes to revenue and invoicing as well. So we have a full AR and collections engine for revenue, invoicing, collections, and cash reconciliations as well. So I just wanna highlight some of those areas that that we go super deep on and, would love to give you a really detailed product demonstration of how we can combine subscriptions and usage, and an invoice off of those as well, generate the invoices in Campfire too. So with that, we'd love to answer any questions that people have. Sam, you asked, can we deliver RevAutomation as an independent solution? Absolutely, we can. So we can just sell you revenue instead of the core GL, or we can do the reverse. We can only sell you GL and AI instead of revenue automation. So we can absolutely split those up, Sam. Of course, we'd love to get you on the entire platform, and it works better when you sell everything, but we can also just sell what Campfire is just a revenue solution. That was actually when we created Campfire, how we did it initially. High volume, low price tag. We actually specialize in this because we're built off a new database structure, a modern database structure. We have one customer, Replit, today. Replit is a 200 you know, $50,000,000 business off of $200 transactions. So you go on the Replit website, you sign up for a $200 or $20 monthly license, and they have millions and millions of those transactions flowing to Campfire on a monthly basis. We are able to ingest millions of transactions with no latency issues within Campfire because actually we can build subletters off of Snowflake and other core modern databases. So we really specialize actually in high volume, low dollar value businesses or big contracts, which is what we just saw with the contract. We have usage and subscriptions. Then complex contracts, I would say it depends. If you're like an MGA or MGU or if you're a carrier or if you're a broker, we have different kind of solutions for different insurance companies. It can help with, like, stat reporting as well. So maybe we'd love to get a little bit deeper in a more personalized product demonstration of what we can do for complex contracts for insurance companies. But we have MGA, MGUs, brokers, carriers. We do state snapshot reporting in Campfire as well. Can even help with, like, maybe some of the trust trust accounting as well. And then, yes, Gemma, we do have open APIs. So if you actually go into docs. Campfire, I'll put this in the chat here. All of our APIs are all publicly documented. You can build whatever you want to campfire. We don't charge you for API calls or access to APIs. Every API endpoint every endpoint we have has an API endpoint as well, So we have an open API to connect anything you want to Campfire. But, of course, we have some pre built connections to, like, ramp and rippling and everything like that. We can have unlimited custom dimensions, so we can customize the number of dimensions as well, Gemma. So that's, we actually can't do that. And we do have an auto log, Gemma, as well. So we have a global audit log in the settings. So in the global settings, we have every single transaction that was changed, who created the transaction, the link to the change, approved that timestamp down to a second. We have an audit log as well on the individual transactions. Jim, we're so deep on internal controls and audit log. We have many public customers on the New York Stock Exchange listed. They use Campfire for internal controls and go through ITGC testing. Someone asked about budget forecasting. Unfortunately we don't have time today, but we'd love to show you more personalized product demonstration. But we do have budget forecasting built within Campfire today. And then there's some other questions in the chat. We will send the recordings. We can send the recordings after. And then multi entity, we can do multi entity where any these aren't 100% owned is a little bit interesting. That's more of like a cost allocation that we do. And then prepaid expenses, Evan, prepaid expenses are amortization. So if you prepay something, you give us a start and end date in the destination GL account, and we generate the amortization schedule for you. We don't have an inventory module though, so it's something that we don't have today. For our inventory manufacturing customers, they have a separate solution for inventory and procurement, and they just basically API push everything into Campfire. So we'd love to talk to about how that works. But yeah, that's a lot of the questions that we had. So just wanted to say thanks so much for your time. I know it's a busy time of the year as you go through year end and you go through your year end close. I But want to say thanks so much for your time and we really hope you know like we saw today and we really hope we can partner in the future and see what Campfire can do for everyone's business. So I want to say thanks much for your time. We'll have someone reach out to you afterwards to see if you want to go through a more detailed pricing, product demonstration. So I'll ask about pricing and we can definitely go through that in a more detailed call. But we are typically around in the middle between a QuickBooks and a NetSuite in terms of cost. So I wanna say again, thanks so much for your time everyone. And hopefully we'll be able to partner in the future and yeah have a really fantastic weekend everyone as well. So thanks so much from the CAMPFire team.
